Any word or thought on a ride for 2006???

Can we have some color schemes and/or names for the new ride? I say a floorless with red track and black supports. Don't know a name for it.

We'd have to call if Magma with those color choices.

Me presonally, I love rough woodies. Heck, I'm usually the only person on MS that when the train rolls into the station not cursing and complaining about my head, back, neck, etc.

Me too!

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Me three! Lets start a club!

I love woodies too, but just not poorly designed ones...(SoB, MS). Give me Raven, Legend, Villain (maintained), or Shivering Timbers anyday.

Maybe what they could do is pull another Gemeni. Steel track, with wooden supports. They can just tell everyone its a woodie, or at least let them go on thinking that, so they can be happy with their "Woodie."

H: "But thats the skyride, we even gave them the nickname, the Snoopies."
N: "Yeah I know, but Snoopy can be very scary and intimidating sometimes."

^...But we in-the-know enthusiasts can tell the difference. :)

True, but everyone else will be clueless, well maybe. lol.

But we are the one's who want it. So we will still be disapointed.

Why not build a new coaster like The Voyage? I forget what those are called but those are nice!

I'm pretty sure The Voyage is a hyrbrid woodie. Steel supports with wooden track. They save a bunch of room. I wouldn't mind CP putting one in. The only problem is they don't have a whole lot of room even for a hybrid woodie. I still say woodie.

The original Coney Island Cyclone has some steel supports, and has had them since the ride was built. Maybe CP could use some steel supporting like the Cyclone does for a resurrection of the CP Cyclone?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Hybrid woodie is fine. I like Villian. I'm planing to go to Holiday world next year. I've never been there before.

Why do we constantly say, build a ride like The Voyage, Coney Island's Cyclone, Raven, etc. I'd like to see a unique ride. When Raptor was built, it was the only Invert coaster that had a layout so spawled out and different from the others.

I see the B&M flyiers, S:UF, as the Batman of flying coasters. They all have the same designs first ones made (air was but just go with me for a sec.), small layout, not unique. The rides were built to offer the experience of a new coaster type.

CP took the B:TE ride concept and worked it into Raptor.

CP can take the boring forceless flyiers and work it into an amazing flying experience.

No matter what, CP has never disappointed anybody in the past with rides (just complainers about TTD), so I don't see why 2006 and beyond would be any different.

note: I've never been on a Flyier or a Batman clone, so I could very well be wrong about them.

Yes but SFMM might be getting a flyer for 06. So I say wait and see if SFMM puts in a flyer and if the do CP can their's better.

Now I drove up To Geauga Lake today to check out the park, & now that I saw X-Flight right up close I'm gonna have to say that would really look good @ Cedar Point, The Flyer In General would be a great addition to Frontier Town...I really think the Flyer would be a better choice now for 06 instead of a floorless...

I agree with you Gomez on the fact that Cedar Point could make an exciting flyer.
I mean, how can some of you say that flyers suck and not know rather or not CP is making one better than the others (AIR and the SM:UF's)?

Although…I'm now starting to lose hope about a coaster for next year. We just don’t have any evidence what-so-ever. We should be seeing something by now.

P.S. Love your signature Joe@CP05. :)

You guys! We probably won't see any track sightings until school starts up when Cedar Point is only open for weekends. Thats when things start happening. They could be hiding some stuff in a building somewhere too. I don't know anything of where it's being stored, I'm just taking a guess.

TTD 120mph's avatar

Yeah, but we should be seeing more markings or something. Tree markings, land markings, dirt piles ;), etc, etc.
I too have had thoughts of them hiding track pieces in a storage building...but I have my doubts about it. Like, how come nobody has spotted storage trucks? Are they coming late.... very late at night or something?

I guess we're just going to have to wait and see.

Or maybe there's not going to be anything major planned for 2006 at all! (gasp!)
