I think the liquid has been squeezed out of this sponge. This is basically a 1 page cycle. After 20 posts or so the same thing is mentioned over and over and over...

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Yeah, a floorless will do.

Good Call guys Floorless gets my vobe as well.

Yeah because that hasn't ben talked about :p

I think we need something really "Outside the Box"

Like... Take a Small version of a Ferris Wheel, put wheels on the bottom of the support legs. You could be riding around on the track and the wheel could be spinning at the same time.

Wow... that's pretty neat. It's not exactly what I meant, but still very cool.

Looks lik a mix between a Frequent Faller coaster and Intamins idea of a 4th dimension coaster.....except with only one side.

CP should get a floorless.

I honestly don't see what the big deal with floorless coasters is. I rode Knight Flight back when Six Flags owned Geauga Lake, and to be honest, the ride seemed a lot like a tame Raptor. Albeit, it was the most rough I have ever seen a B&M ride. (It must have been the square wheels. :)) The biggest difference I notieced between the two rides, it that the floorless coasters have a bit more of an open feeling, as the wheel chassis is now below you and not imparing your vision.

One concern that I have with CP installing a floorless coaster is that it might be too similar to Raptor. Both have you strapped in with no floor below you. A lot of the B&M rides have a similar layout (Drop into a loop for example.) However, it is possible to throw a few surprises into the layout of the ride, like the Jojo roll on Hyrda.

As I mentioned above, I think they are in more need of a good wood coaster, especially if it's by the Gravity Group, than another looper. CP already has a top 10 looping coaster, but they don't have a top 10 wood coaster. In fact, they don't have a wood coaster that even placed in the top 50. This addition could also help people who aren't quite ready for the big rides. Gemini, and possibly Mean Streak, are really the only mid-sized rides the park has for the not-quite-so-brave people.

Everybody said CP needed a new woodie so they built Mean Streak. That ride was a total disaster. It was rough, hard to maintain, and not many people want to ride it. Would you want the same thing to happen again? I think CP learned from this past mistake to not do it again.

Actually, I believe part of the problem was either with Dinn and/or the group that built MS. If I remember right I believe something like they ran into more stress on the structure than there should have been, or something along those lines I believe. Woodies are naturally hard to maintain, and a bad designer or construction group can cause what could be a great coaster to be a total POS, like Son of Beast. I rode that the year it opened and it was seriously much smoother than Vortex. *** Edited 8/12/2005 8:21:00 PM UTC by BlueStreak64***

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I still say flyer. If CP can make a good one then it will be a very different and good ride.

Wait are you saying Son of Beast was smooth? When I rode it when it was brand new that thing hurt like crazy.

If CP's going to put anything in, I hope it would be a floorless. We haven't gotten anything with inversions since '96, which is 9 years ago, so I'd say that we're due. A sitdown looper would be a nice addition to the park. Although the illusion of the floorless isn't fully realized unless you're in the front seat, I still believe if you're going to add a sit-down looper, you might as well make it floorless. Sure we haven't gotten a wood since '91, but as stated many times, that was a disaster for the park, maintenance and otherwise.

I agree with BirdofPrey00.

Yeah, I'm saying it was smooth, especially compared to MS, the Racer, and Blue Streak (now a bit smoother). I actually enjoyed my ride and if there hadn't been an two hour wait I would have done it again. I'm sure I'd wonder why I went on it though if I rode it this season or next, even though PKI is doing what they can to try and tame the extreme roughness. Me presonally, I love rough woodies. Heck, I'm usually the only person on MS that when the train rolls into the station not cursing and complaining about my head, back, neck, etc.

Can we have some color schemes and/or names for the new ride? I say a floorless with red track and black supports. Don't know a name for it.

Good for you.

That black and red one could be called "the devil" or "Ride of the Demon", haha.

What if, instead of a coaster, we got a ton of flat rides like a Giant Frisbee, a Screamin Swing, a couple Matterhorn-esque rides, etc. They could market it as "a new step for the whole family" or something...
