Announcement this month?

What do you guys think the chances of hearing something concrete (no pun intended) this month are? What month did CP announce MF?

Cedar Point, it may not be heaven, but is sure is close.

Millennium Force was announced July 22, 1999 so obviously there is no set time that they announce things. My gut tells me that maybe they'll announce it somewhere around labor day, but in reality I have no clue.

I think it's going to be on the 31st of this month. Only becuase I heard this from a reliable source.

Most "reliable sources" are anyways.

Anyways, an announcement this month seems very unlikely. Remember all the speculation about when they would announce Wicked Twister? It kept moving back, and back, and back. Don't get to excited because most likely we won't see an announcement for at least 2 or 3 months. If I was to take a guess about when the announcement would be, I would say sometime in October.

I'd say possibly August, but no later than September.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that we will, without a doubt, know something by May of '03! Of course, I don't have a reliable source telling me that. It is more of a gut feeling.

im thinking that an anouncement will come up in late august. And the roller coaster will be a larger version of xcelerator at knott's. It will be around 420 ft and it will go around 110 mph. I am almost 100% sure of this. If we dont get that, we get the huge purple S&S TA2K, which will also be around 420 ft, and will go around 110 mph. I know how high and fast the coaster will go becuase i had many discusions with employees at the park. they said if its the purple TA2K, it will be built into the soak city parking lot.

Funny...a coaster that only goes 110 mph has no chance of making it over a 420 foot hill...not even in a vacuum. We all know about the Xcelerator type ride...a 110 mph launch can go up 400 ft, but that's straight up with no friction...

And i said AROUND 420 ft, and AROUND 110 mph. Around is the key word here. All i know is that it will go over 400 ft and it will go well over 100 mph!
