Kind of an odd dump site for the track... seems like you would want them in a more safe location. What's stopping anyone from jumping the fence? Nice observation though... haven't been here long enough to remember maverick track there or knowing CP used the property for ride storage.

Jumping the fence and doing what? Its not like someone is going to throw a section of track in the back of a pickup and drive off with it.
Realistically, there just wouldn't be enough time to load a humongous piece of dive coaster track and cart off with it before security/police got to them. Though, it'd be funny being the owner of a scrap yard when a guy pulls in with a huge piece of steel track wanting to scrap it. "Uuuummm.....pretty sure you stole this sir......" lol

First off, I am VERY sympathetic to the situation for all involved. It's sad for many. However, I don't think the park should "have" to gauge whether something is "too soon" or "ill advised". The loss of life wasn't their fault.
If the death was CP's fault, however, then I could see the argument for a delay, name change, etc.

You'd be terrible at running their business. :-)
Regardless of fault, it would be ridiculously stupid for CP to run a marketing campaign that could in any way be viewed as insensitive. They're not in the business of being "right", they're in the business of making money.
