2014 - Changes to Platinum Pass Benefits

The list of benefits has been updated.

https://www.cedarpoint.com/ticket-category/2014-Season-Passes#

Things that stand out:

Dino's are free with Platinum Pass.

Straight 10% discount at "Select Locations" for food.

Removed the 1/2 price (two for one?) discount on $2 Games of Chance.

Anyone notice anything I missed?

Comments:

Dino's? Meh...I will take a pass through it now that it will be free. Really just to see how the island has changed. I couldn't care less about seeing the dino's up close.

Food perks? I like that it is simpler than last year. I suppose it will depend on how many places actually have the discount. I didn't use most of the food perks last year. I did use the french fry perk and that was worth a lot more than 10% off.

I would like to see the list of where the 10% is applicable.

Also I used the heck out of the 1/2 price (buy one get one?) on $2 games of change perk last year and I don't see that on the list. Fortunately I already have a complete set of "Bank-O-Ball" large stuffed Gatekeeper Griffins.

Never did the Dinos',will do it now to get pics of MF and other things that can be seen from that area. Should be interesting.

I guess their admissions to dino have dropped and it's a good way to get more platinum pass purchasers.

Unless I'm missing something, all I see are some "highlights" of getting each pass. This is far from the list of "perks" they put out every year. I'm guessing we won't see the real perks list for another month or two.

Good point. Maybe there is more to come.

I'm sure the list will be along in time for opening day. I don't see the need to know much before then. Unless these perks are a deciding factor in whether you go Platinum or not, but once again the deal's gonna be the same regardless whether you do it now or closer to May. Food perks are the least of my concerns when it comes to Platinum Pass, anyway. I opt for it for greater reasons.
And remember, announcements have yet to be made regarding a new restaurant or two, so...

I'm really only in it for the parking.

As long as they still add in the hot dog/brat special, I'm happy.

I'm in it for the multiple park thing. Not only do I travel, but I live in Columbus, so there ya go. At least two parks for the price of one.
Kind of...

The platinum Pass is the best deal ever because you get one hour early entry and you get to go to Cedar Point the whole year for free as well as the free parking and you get free access to all the parks owned by Cedar Fair and you get to get in hallo weekends free and into the Soak City waterpark and all of these perks listed this is AWESOME!

Does anyone know what food places you get the discount at?

I'm wondering when there will be ride nights no news on that all I care is that Millennium has its own month as well as Maverick, Top Thrill, Raptor, ect.

According to my C.P. calendar, which list all of the ride nights, they are:

Fri May 30 GateKeeper
Wed June 4 Millennium Force
Fri June 13 Maverick
Wed June 18 Top Thrill Dragster
Fri June 27 Magnum
Wed July 2 GateKeeper
Fri July 11 Millennium Force
Wed July 16 Maverick
Fri July 25 Top Thrill Dragster
Wed July 30 Magnum
Fri August 8 Raptor
Wed August 13 GateKeeper

thank you

Anyone know what restaurants are part of the food discount? I would love it if Panda Express had a discount to it. That is my favorite in the park as far as food goes. Problem though is, it's expensive if you buy from there every time you go there. I'll still go there regardless, but I have to watch my budget at times.

Agreed. For the money, I think that's well and above the best food deal in the park.

^^Panda has never been part of the food discount. I think the chain restaurants have to agree to allow it.

Well I'm hoping the new place selling crab fries joins in the deal. :)

My kids are excited about the Dinos being added...overall the Platinum Pass remains an extremely good value IMO.

My one beef with the platinum pass is that it is only valid at "outdoor" water parks. The best I can get for Castaway Bay is a discount on a day pass.
