It was completed (all the tubes were on) as of last Sunday. There was still lots more to be done though.

^ This. Maybe I'll get a pic from the skyscraper tomorrow. Although the name "Dragster H2O" is really lame and uninspired. I wonder if people will be disappointed because it doesn't go 120 mph lol.

I doubt anyone will care enough to get emotional over the name of a water-slide. Hard to say it's uninspired when a fan of Cedar Point actually named it.

The bottom line is, who the hell cares?

I'm not being emotional about it, just pointing out that it is a dumb name. Just thought that the fan would have come up with something better than just taking the name of a rollercoaster and slapping it on a water slide and adding "H2O" at the end of it.

Thats why i called it "the mat racer" :)

Dragster H2O is almost as bad as Flight Deck.

But not as bad as Back Lot Stunt Coaster.

It's just a name. They could change Millenium to Dora the Explorers Adventure Express for all I care. Sure it would be a dumb name, but it's still a great ride.

Dragster H20 is definitively not as bad as Drop Tower. That one had to be inspired from Roller Coaster Tycoon.

I actually think the name suits the slide quite well. It is a racing slide so it is appropriate to its theme.

At least nothing's been named "Whoa Belly" yet.

Doesn't matter what the name is...It will always be "that slide over there."

I made my first trip of the season today and there's a few different things I noticed. I rode Maverick and both the water shoot things were on and there was actually a few of the LED lights in the tunnel on. They are still there, it just seems like some of them have burnt out cause only one strip worked. We also experienced a rollback on Maverick, I've heard of them but I didn't know they happen often. One thing I was a bit disappointed about was there didn't seem to be any of those in ground LED lights, did they ditch that idea?

Yeah, Maverick will rollback down the hill if the first train does not clear the tunnel, or if there is a brief power loss.

And with the last sentence about the in ground LED lights, are you talking about for luminosity? I was thinking the same thing when I was there last week!

Yes I'm talking about Luminosity with the in ground LEDS.

What about the colored pavement for Luminosity? Wasn't there supposed to be colored pavement that made a design, maybe even patterns, in addition to the in-ground LED tiles and reflective beads? I can't tell from the pictures but it just looks like the same old dirty concrete with some clean patches here and there. Like I said, can't tell from the pictures and I haven't seen any updates since opening day.

You guys know that plans do change, right?

It is mostly a mix of old and new concrete with some new "sparkly" pavement immediately around the stage. Perhaps there just wasn't enough time to do anything too fancy.

Any idea of when Halloweekends announcements are usually made?

Halloweekends is my reason for living.
