Glad to hear that Kevin. On opening day, the group at that stand was as you described: friendly, nice, energetic. But it was painfully slow. It seemed that perhaps they were understaffed with employees that were old enough to be allowed to prepare the food. We waited a full 20 minutes to get our order. I figured it was just an opening day thing and sounds like that was the case.
My group and I had a positive experience as well. We went to get cheese on a stick at Happy Frier and the employee in the back was having trouble with the batter. It was falling off whenever he'd take the sticks out of the fryer and had to have the manager help out. It ended up taking 30 min till we got our cheese on a stick. Well, not only were they all very apologetic, they gave all of us a free souvenir cup for our troubles. Needless to say I wasn't being uptight since it was the opening day, but it was a nice surprise never the less.

Isn't there a dino themed cup?

I figure it is the permanent replacement for the bratwurst cart that has been there the past two seasons. :)

I've been reading through this thread and it seems like most of you feel we're looking at a possible removal of DT to make room for 2013's attraction.
Agh, while I'm sure most wouldn't mind it going, there's just something about it that I love. Besides being my first coaster, I've always loved the fact that it's really CP's only themed coaster, not to mention the whole "in the dark" deal. I'm the sort of person that only likes the biggest and the baddest rides, but this one has always been my only exception.
It seems that the current rumor is that those green tracks are possibly going to CP, and if they are that would mean CP will be getting a Wing coaster.
I think, if they took out DT, it may be neat to make the new coaster enclosed, just as Disaster Transport was. Though if we get a wing coaster, I'm not sure how that would work out.
Don't forget that starting today on the 19th the new show "Absolute Country" starts at the Red Garter Saloon and starting May 26th is a new show "Summer Daze" at the Palace Theater and the start of "All Wheels Extreme" featuring a few performers who were in "America's Got Talent" which advanced to the finals in Las Vegas. And the new ice skating show "Happiness Is...Snoopy" which starts June 9th at the Good Time Theater(formally known as the show called "Everyone Loves Snoopy"). There are plenty of rides but make sure you stop by and check out all of the great live shows the park has to offer.

Haha, it sure would be something. THe building would probablly have to be pretty enormous I'd imagine.
When does CP usually "come out" with their plans for a new coaster? How late in the season is too late to start building?
So, basically, Cedar Point is doing fantastic this year. I don't understand all the complaints about Fast Lane. The park was a tad crowded yesterday, so there were a fair share of users, but the lines kept on moving at a steady pace like usual. No problems there.
Dinosaurs Alive is pretty cool. I saw more teens going through it than kids, and they seemed to enjoy it. With the exception of Millennium Force flying above at various points, the park did a great job making the area seem secluded. There weren't many people on the path, so I hope it gets more popular later in the summer. I found myself reading all the informational signs much more than I expected. I'll always miss Paddlewheel, but I was surprised by what a nice job they did with this.
The park looks very nice this year. All the new paint on Blue Streak, the slides at Soak City, and other places throughout the park look great. While in line for Millennium Force, I could see a large quantity of small circular tan colored planters in the parking area. They're putting these all around the Luminosity stage.
Guest service is doing satisfactory. The crews at Magnum and Gemini in particular are doing great. Also, I saw security enforcing the line jumping policy more than ever.
Overall, the park is doing awesome and hopefully it stays that way all summer and for years to come.
Big question: What happened to the children's play area inside Snoopy Boutique? My sister loved to play in that area all the time last year, and was devastated when she saw it was gone this year...
Oh, and are the Gemini trains going to stay without the yellow and black stripes on the side of each train, or have they just not had the time to re-stripe the trains? They look extremely tacky the way they are now...

They got rid of the gift shop play area!? Wow, that's a huge bummer for me, I used to love that area as a kid.
As for the Gemini, I would imagine they'll be putting the stripes back on. Perhaps they just painted the cars and want to wait a bit before putting the finishing details in. The stripes could be stickers too, and maybe they've ordered them from some other place and have to wait before they come in.
