Shawn, for PT, instead of that long path to the "split" for where you decide what side you want to ride, you now enter right next to super himalaya for a shorter walk to the split.

To answer the question about TTD they roate the trains each day the same train dosent sit there all season long. they rotate them to make sure they all get the same hours of run time on them.
That probably was the case when you worked at the park, but that hasn't been the case the last few years I was there. They do now designate one train to more or less sit out throughout the course of the season. Of course, if an issue arises during the day and the need to transfer a train off they can use that other train to fill in temporarily. But at least the last several years, there is one train that takes a turn sitting out for the bulk of the season.

I think PT's new entrance is a great change. I always thought the old one was mildly out of the way... Hopefully this gives the entrance better visibility!
Thrills Around the Corner!
Looks like the pics have been pulled from TPR now. Bah, I was hoping to get to see some of the new changes.
Just realized something about giant wheel's lights! Are there LEDs on BOTH sides of the wheel? b/c it would be cool to see it from the beach too.
Sorry if this has been brought up already. I don't remember seeing it anywhere. I was at Kings Island this weekend and had the opportunity to check out the changes they are implementing on Windseeker. The ride is down right now. It appears as though they are updating the shocks to the type that were used at Knott's Berry Farm. I believe the 2 new installations this year got the Knott's type shocks. They are still waiting on a few parts and the ride won't be running for about another week.
As you can see in the picture, the old shocks are still there as well. I'm not sure if those are staying or going. I would think if they were going to remove them, they would be gone already. Not much work was going on, even on Friday. So, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm assuming these modifications will be implemented at Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland as well. Has anyone heard anything? If so, I hope CP's is done by opening day. Once Knott's came out with this new design, I had a feeling it would be implemented on the previous installations too.

I know Carowinds, Kings Dominion and Canada's Wonderland have Knott's type shocks. It looks like CP might be the only one without them if KI gets them.

Were you at Canada's Wonderland this year? Because I'm fairly certain it had the 3 tiny shocks last year. If you saw the new ones on it this year, I would be surprised if CP wasn't getting them too.

Without knowing the who or what of the situation, I'd guess it was a seasonal employee who did some unauthorized posting. Cedar Point takes that stuff pretty seriously.
Theme Park Review, another forum site. I would link it but for some reason it doesn't let me.

Honestly, they were nothing to get excited about and didn't show anything special.

And for anyone who was curious as to what the lines that were seen during the PointBuzz tour were for in regards to Disaster Transport, they were for an elevator.
It seems Disaster isn't going anywhere anytime soon. :P
I don't remember where I saw it, but I read a post in one of the Wildcat threads where someone claimed Wildcat had an elevator installed for this year. Obviously the validity of the post is questionable, but if that's true, then DT doesn't necessarily have more time. Remember that White Water Landing received a few updates before the start of its final season.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Wildcat did receive an elevator, along with just about everything else that has a raised platform. The winter before WWL was removed it got a new turntable and drive system installed, $100,000 worth of work from what I was told.
