Starlight is not gone.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Starlight is returning this year, though the floats will not be returning.

Lance Heal mentioned we would probably see adjustments and improvements throughout the years. Hopefully it's as good this year as it was in 2009. Personally I'm glad the floats are gone.
I never was a fan of the floats anyway. Good to know Starlight is returning, I got a little worried when they took it off the website.

You already did, but I wouldn't put much stock into seeing any more improvements to it for at least this year. I am guessing they don't want to do much with it so it does not overshadow 'Luminosity'.
Lance works for the rat now.

With the floats being gone, hopefully they won't have any reason to shut down the trail now. I know it was only like a 5 minute shutdown, but that always annoyed me whenever I got caught by it.

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I always thought the "floats" looked strange and out of place anyway. Not to mention the questionable appearance of the inflatables.

There's was a nice photo update on TPR from inside the park that shows Wildcat and Celebration Midway construction as well as some neat other things. And for anyone who was curious as to what the lines that were seen during the PointBuzz tour were for in regards to Disaster Transport, they were for an elevator.
It seems Disaster isn't going anywhere anytime soon. :P

Yea, I never realized they had some kind of security deal with linking their site. Otherwise, I would have just linked to the thread.

So, it looks like Fast Lane will merge in the station for all of the attractions... [sigh of relief]. I was really paranoid that it would work as an exit pass, as it seems to at other CF parks.
So what's the deal with one TTD train always sitting on the transfer track all season? I get that they only use 5, but why put the 6th one on at all? I've heard its for parts, but why not keep the parts in a bucket instead of on a quazi-assembled train? haha

DT isn't the only ride that is getting one of those. Just about every coaster/ride that has a staircase to the loading platform is getting an elevator.
Glad to see that power towers que line entrance is now next to himalaya! Also happy to see the FL line is not an exit ramp que, but will be merged for the most part, where they will have to at least have some wait to ride. With some coasters utilizing the old freeway que.

I know this was talked about somewhere in one of these discussions, but I don't remember where, and I'm not about to look through all of these pages. I went to the park yesterday to get my picture taken for my pass and noticed that a lot of the parking lot was gated off. It was from the employee parking by Space Spiral all the way to where the parking lot indents where the houses start on the beach (where Im assuming Kinzel lives?) I did read somewhere that they were going to charge an additional fee to park closer, correct? If so, is that where the additional fee parking will be, because that seems like a lot of parking space to be used for that.

^^ I would imagine that's what the gated area would be for. Is it a very ugly looking chain link fence? Or did they somehow try and make it look nice?
It is also possible that they have it gated off to begin work on something for 2013 givin all of these DT rumors going around, but I wouldn't look into that all that much just yet.
I just looked through the TPR photos and it doesn't look like they've explanded maXair's queue. I was really hoping they would with Fast Lane.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
^ No, it was like the rails they use for lines to get on rides. That's why I was questioning it. If this is the space that they will be using for the extra fee parking, I can definitely see a lot of people getting angry about it because it's a lot of space!
And I'm not one to look into rumors like that. I don't talk about things until I know facts about it. I mostly come on here to read about things, in which some are rumors, but it's entertainment. :)

To answer the question about TTD they roate the trains each day the same train dosent sit there all season long. they rotate them to make sure they all get the same hours of run time on them.
When I was Team Leader of Mean Streak we had a log to show how many hours each train had and that is what we used to decide which train to take off when it came time to start removing trains for the day.

Are you saying that Cedar Point shortened the queue? Also did they relocate the queue? I didn't know that. Do happen to have pictures?
