Which I would enjoy. Riding that coaster in complete darkness would be awesome. I've always thought it should have been enclosed instead of Avalanche Run.

I think it would be a lot like Dark Knight, and that ride is a lot of fun.

Now we have Windseeker and Giant Wheel with awesome lights. Wait for the day when they remove DT and put an awesome GCI there with some cool lights lighting up the structure! Kind of like how Mean Streak used to be..

Does anyone know the last time Mean Streak had its lights on?

^ at the end of the season, last year. Mean Streak still has those lights, just not as many. As many of them are broken. She still looks amazing at night.

I would agree that Mean Streak still looks great at night. One of my favourite parts of staying at LHP is the walk back to the cabin at the end of the night through the Soak City lot seeing Mean Streak lit up.

I see on my DVR, on May 8, 10PM, Cedar Point will be featured on the show Off Limits on Travel Channel.

It's interesting to note that people are reporting price drops on food this year at Kings Island. Also just posted on KI twitter:

Indeed, Wildcat will be VERY hard to see from the midway now. :-\

It could. Apparently all the coke & pepsi contracts are up at the end of the year. They could be offering up various discounts to try and sway a decision. It's ben mentioned that all the parks will have the same pop next year.

Is the 'Maverick Bridge Cam' showing new paver installation?

They're definitely doing concrete/paver work. That's cool. I like how those pavers look around the park.

Good move. The rock pavement on the bridge was falling apart. They patched it with concrete which did not match the rest and it looked bad and drove me crazy. Most people probably didn't notice, but I'm goofy that way.

^^ I noticed. CP does a good job with their walkways (grinding off uneven corners, etc) this area was the one exception.

Take this for what it's worth, but in regards to Starlight Experience being gone I noticed on the newly relocated webcam the light poles on the bridge are still wrapped in lights. If Starlight as a whole is going away, we may still see some remnants of it.
