I know there have been a lot of issues with JobNet, but the site flat out does not work in Safari (yes, I keep up to date, as well as checking the nightly WebKit builds), and it has been a headache switching to and from Firefox for the sole purpose of using JobNet. So for my fellow Mac users who use Safari regularly or more often than Firefox, I learned a nifty little trick that will alleviate your problems. Follow these simple steps:
1) Open your preferences window, and click on the advanced tab.
2) Find the box next to "Show Develop menu in menu bar" and check it
3) Now go to your menu bar, choose Develop, then User Agent, and select your flavor of IE or Firefox (you may have to do this right after you go to the JobNet URL).
You'll notice that there are a lot of different options, including Opera and Mobile Safari in addition to about five different revisions each of Safari, Firefox, and IE. I just tested this on my MacBook Pro using Safari, and running the user agent selection as IE7 did allow me to successfully use JobNet.
Here is a screen shot for those interested in the specific problem.

For some reason the login field is acting as the New User (or whatever it is) field. Evidently my friend running Safari right now isn't having problems, though a fault like a switch of fields is definitely not on a user level.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I haven't had any problems using Safari with jobnet other than when I forgot my password. That menu option should be pretty helpful in the future though. Especially the Open with firefox option.
Thought of another question.
I was looking through the grooming guidelines again, to see what jewelery I could and couldn't wear. (If you don't know I'm a chick). While doing that I noticed the term "sculptured hair" in the no section... what the fudge is that? I looked on Google and all it came up with were stupid pictures of mannequins, LOL.
The only reason I'm asking is, I recently cut my hair pretty much guy short (it's maybe an inch long), and usually I dump gel in it so it doesn't stick out, which would make it kind of spiky. Would that fall into sculptured hair, or are they just talking about, like, mowhawks and stuff like that?
Hope that makes sense...
thanks
Amanda :)

I've always assumed that the person who originally wrote the grooming guidelines had a mustache. After all, it probably was written during the 70's when everyone had them.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
