Because you dont live in Ohio, you dont have to pay their taxes. On the other hand you will have to pay your state for working in another state. Weird I know. But I always mark down that ill pay them now, that way at the end of the year i will get them all back. It works itself out in the long run.

Gosh, when I worked there in '02, I could have sworn I filed Ohio taxes....LMAO at the Ohio gov't seeing me as a "sucker" from the minute I applied at Cedar Point.

JPS, I fill out the W-4, and IT-4 as I normally would if I lived in Ohio. IT-4 NR is only for those who live in a neighboring state of Ohio. They don't have to pay Ohio income tax, instead they pay it to their state of residency. However, since you are in Illinois, you will pay Ohio income tax. When you file your taxes, you'll file for Illinois and Ohio. You'll probably end up with almost all of Ohio back. The last 2 years I did. I also have to file a Schedule OS here in Wisconsin. Its a form reporting taxes you paid in another state. You will probably have a similar form to fill out with y our Illinois taxes when you file.

Unless you live in Florida where there is no state income tax :)

Can anyone who has lived in CP housing elaborate on what type of exercise/weight equipment can be found in the rec center?
Steve, in previous years there was a bench press, treadmill, bike, barbells, and I think there were even a few deflated medicine balls.

A little off topic, but speaking of exercise and weight equipment... I heard there's a nice, big gym nearby. Blake's Gym, I believe it's called? Can anyone touch on it, or say whether they offer like a half year membership or anything?

I dont know to much about the local gyms, but there is deals for employees if you want to get a membership where its just a seasonal thing. Most the business around sandusky are good to the employees. I was going to get a membership at a local gym but i never had the time.

Hey I got hired in early March and I'm supposed to be working on TTD---just wondering who else is on the crew =) also what is it going to be like (I know that's kind of a broad question)
I am on your crew this summer ThrillSeekerBabe! I got hired in mid-late January! I am a first year at Cedar Point too this summer! When do you process in?

Hey everyone, I'm new here and have some questions that I can't find answered anywhere else. (glad I found these forums!) Anyways, I got hired in late January to work at dragster photo sales. I process in on May 28th. I'm 17, and will be living in the at housing facilities (hoping for the commons dorms...) Anyways, browsing around on these forums gave me the idea that there aren't many other 17 year olds working and living at cedar point. Is this the case? Also, what do the photo people do when the coaster breaks down? I expect that this will happen a lot to me since dragster usually breaks down on a daily basis. And will I be able to get into the commons dorms at the time I'll be processing in? It sounded like on the CP website that they can fill up. Maybe I read it wrong, I don't know.
And I have other questions too but I can't think of them now...I'll post them when I remember them.
-Keith
I can answer your ride photo question. I worked in ride photo for four years, two of which as the Team Lead at Dragster.
Generally, when the ride breaks down you will clean various things around the photo booth. If the ride is down for an extended amount of time, you'll be sent to a gift shop. For Dragster photo, you'll probably be sent either to Speed Zone or Pagoda.
I don't really know the answers to your other questions but my sister is also working at Dragster photo this summer. I hope you have a great summer!

This will be my first year at Cedar Point, working on Maverick with a process-in date of May 6th, and I have one question. Which are better, the Commons Apartments or the Commons Dorms?
