Did they tell anybody else that if you went to a certain school you "had" to work certain dates? (which were alot more than I applied for). Like, since I'm an OSU student I "had" to work from June 11 to Sept. 16, and weekends after that. It didn't matter to me anyways because I want to work, but it seemed kind of... forceful.
They told me I had to work certain days also since I'm at MSU and they need you to work as many days as possible (I would have had to work more days and every other weekend after). But I wasn't able to work the extra days because it is quite a drive from here and I don't think it would be worth it, and I want to start and end the same day as one of my friends (Janelle I know your not my friend so dont even try and argue that). But I just decided to work in Admissions, it works out better for me.

Thanks for helping me on my question.
I dont have to be off for both those days I just want one day where I only work half the day so I could hang out with my freinds the other half. Just a few hours so I could ride some rides with them. Is it possible to work for half a day?
Not a full half a day, but, still with plenty of time to hang out. If you have the 2nd day off that they'll be there, you'll be working an Open-6 the first day they'll be there. But, if you have the first day off, the 2nd day that they're there, you'll have a 1:30-Close. Either way, it'll be close to the same amount.

I have to do the same thing, only a week later than you, MaXaiRaptor. I'm just going to head up there after school and process in so I can start the following day.

Well, I don't start full time until early June, but I told them I could work a couple weekends in May, and that'd be the first one I could (The weekend of the 19th).
Originally they told me I could process in on Sunday the 6th, so I could have avoided the school issue all together, but later they said I couldn't do it any earlier than 24 hours in advance.

It wont hurt you to miss a day of school to go to a job interview. I was a senior last year and i missed 67 days out of 160, and i graduated with a scholarship. you gotta love public school.

Millennium Force Crew 2007
TBA 2008
hello all, long time reader,...anyway yesterday i was hired as a ride host for Ripcord, and this will be my first summer working at the point and i am really excited
....but because of our crap school district schedule i won't graduate until june 9th and my process-in day is june 11th.
I know this is already a month into the season, so, does anyone have any tips about playing a little catch-up perhaps to be more prepared with the crew, or does anyone have any info on working Ripcord specifically?
thanks guys, im pumped about this summer!
Alot of people dont process in until after the season starts. Your crew will be so happy you are there so they will have some extra hands. + everyone is really cool about welcoming people, at least thats my experience in the past 2 summers. Just come in with an open mind and ready to meet alot of different types of people, if you do that you will love it.
Ripcord info i have none of though sorry.
Bring enough money to last u a few weeks, because they changed the pay where u get paid every 2 weeks. I see alot of people suffering because of it. Alot of people spend foolishly.
