Tony and Tyler are probably just gonna give us some bullcrap and still leave us all hangin' tomorrow.

I wonder if this is some kind of test to see how much buzz they can generate from their blog. If people are so interested in something so trivial as a number and letter, imagine the excitement it will spawn if they start dropping hints about a new addition to the park.

I don't get why all of you keep guessing about the parking lot section idea, they told us it was wrong and that it had to do with the designer.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
As far as I'm aware - I was the only one mentioning the parking lot. ...And at that I only mentioned it because it was an interesting observation.

I wouldn't necessarily be quick to presume that the blog is just a marketing tool for a new attraction.
Walt, it is. They saw it worked elsewhere and took advantage of a good idea.
Great free PR tool!

Does that mean a new ride is coming? No. But the site still generates interest.

If there is a big, new attraction (or a small, minor attraction), I'm sure it'll get lots of coverage on the blog. But the purpose of the blog is to create buzz and interest in the park. And it's doing just that. It's easily the best thing Cedar Point has added to its site in a long time.
In some respects, I'm a bit miffed because these are exactly the types of stories and features I wanted to do on PointBuzz (in a perfect world). But, realistically, as a part-time fan site, that was a only dream anyway. We just don't have the time, access or resources to pull it off. I'm very happy they did it and I'm enjoying each and every entry.
I don't believe it was created only to generate interest in whatever may or may not be coming, though. I think it's a bit of a simplistic view to conclude that because Holiday World used it as a tool to solely promote their new ride that Cedar Point is doing the same. The CP blog has been pretty well-rounded and I think that was the intent from the start.
Walt, isn't that generally the intent of any business using a blog? To create buzz around the company, product and with the customers?
Wasn't that my point?
Hmmm....Interesting. I never knew that. I'm surprised that they revealed that bit of information. I always thought that Cedar Point would keep that info a secret.

It makes perfect sense now that it's all out there. The idea of the designer "stamping" his creation makes a lot more sense than some of the other suggestions that have been thrown around.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Do you really think the designer is proud of what is "creation" has deteriorated into? Maybe he'd like to remove his "12-E" if he could :) *** Edited 8/3/2005 7:45:34 PM UTC by DemonDroppin'***
The Amazement Park
I'm sure that the designer can't be that embarrased. I say this because when he designed it and it opened, I hear it looked great but now CP just hasn't maintained it, it's not his fault it is deteriorating. What he created was great, what it has turned out to be isn't so great.
