12E....hmmm?

Switch it and it is E21.

Fun yes, but practical? I don't think it's going to be that complicated... think about their thought process when deciding to put it there. Are they going to say "lets make my name an anagram, turning it into a number"?

They are going to say what it means wednesday at OnPoint. Can't wait!

Watch it's gonna be like "It's the head of ITEC's daughter, her name was Elizabeth, she was 12."

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Wow, that could actually be it. Edit: I think it was already guessed, and it just got a "RED HOT."

My guess is that ITEC is just an acronym, and that it stands for something like International Technology and Entertainment Corporation. I would guess that the E has to do with the Entertainment part of the company, and 12 is the number of designers, or something having to do with the 12th designer?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I posted a comment about how it didn't mean anything, they just wanted to see if anyone would notice a big random 12E on the side, but they didn't put it up. =P

I thought that the state park road idea was a good one, but they said it's wrong. My latest guess is that the 12 is actually not meant to be 12, but 6 or 24 (multiples or factors). Such as, Elaine. 6 letters, multiply by two (maybe second daughter born) and you get 12.

I dunno, goin out on a limb here.

DT needs serious dusting in the queue room with the travelling cages of random things.

The welder thingy looks great. The thing with the cages goes too slow, and the orange fence hasn't been dusted probably since the ride opened.

There was a little gap in the queue to a little corridor, so I decided to have a look. Saw a few things from the halloweekends thing.

I thought I had heard something years ago about it having to do with a park that Kinzel used to work at or go to, but with what T&T are saying is close, it seems unlikely.

That company has some pretty impressive work on their site. And all we got was that ugly ass box over a ride?

Its so obvious now. 12 E must be the age and initial of the designer's father's, brothers, nephew's, cousin's, former roommate. :)

In all reality, I don't think that it's the age and initial of someone's child on the side of the building. I would guess that 12 is the number of years the company has been around and E is the 5th project for the year, or vice versa. If not that, then in some other way the ID for the project while the designer was working on it.

Something I have no clue on is why they put the number on the side of the building.

Maybe this particular designer likes to "autograph" his creations.

You know I always wondered about 12E too, just as everyone else does with their own explanations. I always thought maybe it was rather ironic that Disaster Transport is 12E and the next closest light-post area in the parking lot is section 13E. Coincidence? I doubt it.

You can safely doubt it. The parking lot was not numbered in that way in 1990. Back then, the parking lot was in sections, each named after a ride, and numbered by row (Space Spiral 10, etc.).

I don't know what the 12E stands for, but have any of you checked out the original photos of Avalanche Run on roller coaster database www.rcdb.com

Pretty cool, and I didn't remember the ride at all until I saw the photos, then the memories flooded back, especially that station.

I think it makes it look like a Hanger or a Military facility.

Oh, I know Walt I remember back then, but it is fun to ponder.

Maybe that is even a better speculation then to why at that time they picked 13E for that parking section.

I think Jason Hammond is right, it probably has to do with theming.

Of course it has to do with the theming, but folks want to know why it specifically is a 12E - as apposed to a 23N or even ABC123.

If you drew a line from the center of sandusky to DT, the line would be 12 degrees east from pointing straight north. ;)
