Steel Vengeance

It looks absolutely perfect. (Tony, with the coat on, also seems to be about as big as we'll be able to be to fit on the ride)

Beard man riding with Tony and Jason looks so thrilled (2:03 mark)...

Did you just ride Steel Vengeance or take the GRE?

RMC Apparel now available online.

$34 dollars for a t-shirt with shipping...yikes.

Or you can buy one at CP for $84...

Welp, there goes our concern about pacing. When I saw the video on my facebook I pretty much screamed. Steel Vengeance looks like it's hauling some serious ass, so I think a backseat ride is just going to be incredible. I'll take RCMAC's word for it, as if I fit on, then this will be my first RMC experience ever.

Look how far coasters have come.

Oldies may be Goldies, but just look how insanely wild and out of control this ride is, throwing you every which way like a junkie treats her baby. You are nothing but a toy for its amusement, and it's very, very angry...

This looks Skyrush intense.

If we build it, they will come.

Does anyone know if there will be a height restriction on SV (6'6) like some other rides at cedar point. I am exactly 6'6 have been measured multiple times for Dragster, Wicked Twister. Nothing a good slouch can't fix while in the station but I didn't know if anyone has seen this on any other RMC coasters they have been on. Have asked Tony through twitter multiple times no response though.

I think it's safe to say that a height limit would definitely matter for this ride

Fake news! Can’t you tell that Cedar Point released a video that is shot at 1.5x speed?

Really though I can’t believe how fast this thing is going when temps are around 40-50. I can’t imagine what this beast will be like on a 90 degree August day.

Last edited by CPGuru,

No worries for August, they will just stick a trim on the first drop and take care of those issues.

Looks like Twisted Timbers has a restraint rule that it has to hit your pelvis hips, not just your thighs. People are being escorted off the ride. Is this the first ride where people will take the walk of shame for being too small?!?

ROUNDABOUND.

Are you serious? So you can't be too big or too small to ride. Anyone under 5 feet will probably get kicked off it feels like.

While it is certainly unfortunate if this is the case this is a rather violent ride and if it isn’t safe, it isn’t safe. We might actually have an issue with my oldest son. He is 5’4” or so but only weights 80 lbs. if you look his stats up on a BMI chart he is in the “you are dead” zone for a male.

I might be to big and my son to small. Good motivation to change our eating habits.

I don’t understand why it exists. Every other RMC as far as I know doesn’t have this policy.

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

If that policy exists based upon a 48” height requirement then it absolutely makes zero sense. My son is eight years old and 49” but weighs 67 pounds. Why in the world would it be set to 48” when most kids that height wouldn’t meet such a restraint restriction?

Either folks are simply assuming and are wrong or we will all find out the hard way in two weeks.

My kid is 52 inches and pretty small and didn't have any issue with Twisted Timbers. He's also ridden Lightning Rod probably a dozen times over the past two seasons without issue. Unless the ride is going to break your legs in half, as long as the bar comes a decent distance behind your knees, you're not going anywhere. Hopefully they don't come up with some weird judgement guidelines to muck things up. To me, the restraints on these RMCs seem VERY secure (more so than any Intamin ride with a T-Bar restraint for sure) as long as the belt is buckled and the little green light is on. I don't think there should be a need for judgement calls.

-Matt

Every other RMC conversion, along with topper woodies, (at least in the US, don't know about Wildfire) has a 48" restriction as well.
