Do any of the coaster data sites keep track of total combined vertical drop and climb? I would be curious to see how this ride compares before and after the modification.

CP Rundown posted a picture of the first drop. There are 2 ledgers so far and it looks like it will approach or be 90 degrees.

I was at the park today and can confirm that the highest two ledgers make it look to be 90 degrees, if not very close to it.

I'm at CP for CoasterMania and RMCMS looks absolutely INSANE. Pictures do this thing no justice whatsoever.

The advantage of steel over wood track.

Perhaps steeper than 90 degrees? Too good to be true?

It definitely looks like it will be at least 80° (my most conservative estimate), but I don't think it will quite be vertical—that's what Maverick and Valravn are for.

It's beyond 80 degrees already. The two highest ledgers are close to 90 and the supports that look like they will attach the next ledger looks like it could be vertical.

I'd actually prefer it not to go past 90 degrees. Somewhere between 80 and 90 and at that angle for a good long time would be my preference. I love Maverick, but the drop is kind of awkward. I think part of it is that it's so small that it rushes to 95 degrees and then the pull out is right away.

Anybody have any pictures of this by chance?

It's an overbanked turn that looks like it goes into a low to the ground zero-roll. I was standing at the train station last night with some other observers and there are ledgers close to the ground out of that overbanked turn that then goes into a straight path into the zero-roll. If you look under the first inversion you will notice the ledgers I am talking about.

Breaking News:

New for 2018: Maverick ValStreakn, world's first "dive-blitz" coaster. Why? Because RMC. And that's all you need to know.

Do you think there will be teaser signs of any sort eventually?

Don't know if this has been mentioned... But the speed/airtime hill between the first drop and the first turnaround that was shown off at WCO looks to be part of a second or third lap, it's not in sequence between the first drop and the huge turnaround hill with the flag.

That's interesting. Did you see this in person?

The profile of that hill looks way too low and drawn out to produce any airtime on the 2nd or 3rd lap.

It's definitely immediately afte the first drop. The aerial shots show it clearly.

I agree, it lines up with the first drop. Looking closely, you can see that the ledgers are straight after the first drop, and lead into that speed hill.

Also, for your viewing pleasure: a more side-on view of the ledgers on the first drop.

Yes. There is no doubt that this monster will have at least a 90 degree drop. This coaster does not even seem possible, yet here we are.
