Who is Dave?

The robot from DT. He was originally in the line for the ride.

Why are some thinking it will be robot themed? Looking at the logo, I get something completely different.

It's a SteamPunk theme, I guess you could fit Dave in somehow but I doubt that he will be moving. He will probably be staying in Toy Factory where he fits in MUCH better.

here is a good, descriptive article on the steampunk lifestyle http://www.tor.com/blogs/2009/10/steampunk-101

Don't call me a "scare actor", I'm a Screamster

It's the look that makes it fit pretty well with halloween. The fact that everything/anything is mechanical really allows for a wide range of props and costumes that can be easily turned into a scene of horror. The fact is that pretty much anything can be turned into horror. All you need is some blood splatter, perhaps some body parts, and actors that can pull of the look in a scary way. Steampunk actually makes it a lot easier because it sorta already has the potential to look unsettling.

I mean don't tell me that if you saw this guy in a dark alley, you wouldn't need a new pair of underwear. Or if you saw this contraption, you wouldn't think it would rip you to little pieces.

^Agreed. I just hope that they have enough "props" to fill the large area.

As long as they have lots and lots of fog then I do not care what the props are. :)

I think the biggest problem Screamworks may face, at least initially, is the relatively unknown "steam punk" theme. I had to Google it myself when I found out about it because I'd never heard of it before. However, just because the concept may not be widely known doesn't mean the zone won't rock. I don't think it's a theme you have to know much about in order to appreciate the look and style of it.

To agree with above

Just because people can't walk into the zone and say,"Oh clowns! I get it!" Doesn't mean it will fail/suck.

Can you imagine a world where nobody knew what a clown was?

SteamPunk is a popular theme in haunted attractions now. I think it looks cool and its way better than clowns and overused themes. Halloween Horror Nights had a scarezone themed to steam punk and It was fun. Im happy to see Cedar Point changing things up and trying to keep current with the Halloweekends stuff.

halloweekends.com is finally up... There really isn't anything to the page this year.

They usually have a pretty nice site dedicated to the event.

I hope an underwhelming website isn't indicative of an underwhelming season!
