This topic got a little long so not sure if ppl have mentioned any of this. First this guy is a very nice man, I have talked to him many times while on patrol. Second yes CP allows individuals that have a documented physical disability to bring in their segways aswell as their own scooters. For more then one reason the Segway can be a better choice for a individual with a disability to buy then say a rascal. First is its all terrain capability and the fact they are much more reliable, also they are much easier to fit into a vehicle. Segways are actually very easy to ride and are like an extension to someones body after riding for awhile.

One legal reason is first CP does have waiting list for their scooters. This then can lead to a individual with a real disability not able to get a scooter. Do to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) their is a vagueness in the law that basically those with disabilities most be allowed to use these in the park. This law also protects CP from litigation if they happened to run into someone by mistake not counting other circumstances. Also he is not the only individual that normally visits the park with his segway. Their are also several military veterans young and old that are use them. All segway users have been model guest and have not ran over anyone compared to many of the rentals that CP gives out.

I'm tip top, but some of the people/stalkers I've met from this site scare the hell out of me. I've made some friends for life, but I've also encountered people with zero social skills.

Lack of social skills is one thing, being a creepy stalker is another.

Do you really want to hang out with people in either category?

Perhaps it exists everywhere, but the coaster nerd hobby definitely seems to bring out some interesting individuals. They're certainly not all bad, but there's a fair percentage of people that fall into both of those categories.

Think of how strange this thread would be to an individual who does need a scooter in the park, who finds this thread and reads it.......lol

So there's been some "Fatal Attraction" like behavior from users on this site? That just made my day. I'm sorry :)

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

Whoa. So, since most people on here are guys, then that's really creepy when it comes to stalking.......other guys....*shivers*

Also made my day less boring.....;)

Considering that the creepiest of enthusiasts seem to view other people only as physical obstacles standing in between them and the goal of getting 60+ rides on a given coaster during the day, I'm kind of surprised that they have any interest in stalking, period.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

An update on Segways at Walt Disney World:

I wonder if more parks, including Cedar Point, will follow Disney's lead.
