Raptor and the shirt policy

when I was at CP this wednesday, I got on Raptor and they told me to put on a shirt over my bathing suit top. Since I didn't have one, they let it go. But i have rode Raptor before and see many other people in bathing suit tops and me nor them have been told to have a top on before. Just curious about this new policy.

Perhaps they had an "incident" with someone in a bathing suit top, and are trying to insure the "family friendly" atmosphere in the park.

"Footwear and shirts must be worn in the ride area. The only exception to this is for hand-held infants who cannot walk and are not required to wear shoes. On Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls only, guests may wear swimwear and are not required to wear shoes. Lockers are located nearby. Slip-on shoes should be removed on the Wave Swinger, Raptor, Power Tower, maXair, Skyhawk and Wicked Twister."

CP does have a shirt policy. That is why they asked you to put on a shirt. I have also seen many riders in just bathing suit tops. Personaly, I don't care either way. The ride op that day was just following the policy.

I see a ton of girls in bikini tops when I'm there. I don't have a problem with it, but then again, I'm a guy.

I'm sure this doesn't apply to you Miss...but...I've seen plenty of bikini-clad women (who maybe should have made a different fashion choice) sweating profusely. I'm not sure I would want someone's back sweat on my shirt.

I don't know that is the reason for the "policy" but it is a good enough reason for me.

At Skyhawk Thursday a guywas kicked off for not having a shirt. The ride op said over the speakers... "Dude you cant ride without a shirt. Nobody wants to ride in your sweat after you leave!" and he started laughing.

Yeah they won't even let you in the park without a shirt on, if they do, then someone isn't following the rules! All employees are supposed to tell people to put a shirt on if they see them without one... but it is kind of like the smoking policy.. sometimes people are just too scared to approach other people.

^^^^^Trust me Chief Wahoo, that does not apply to me!! :)

I have seen nasty sweaty people before and they get on the rides and leave sticky wet substances other than water in the ride's seats. Some people sweat even when it's not hot! I've also seen people in the wrong wardrobe fashions get on rides (people who are too big, if you know what I mean, for what they have on over them), and don't get told about their dress and the ops let them ride. I know that I am a person who has the right proportions and I do wear my clothes the right way on rides so that nothing falls out all over the place, like some people who are not proportioned and tend to fall out everywhere, to put it bluntly. :)

I think girls have more fun when their tops fly off on Raptor.

I hear that the extra breeze helps keep your body temperature regulated.

Imagine what a free flying boob would be like on raptor? It would be stretched all different directions.

This thread gives a whole new meaning to "over the shoulder restraints".

First off let me say that I am sharing this website with a bunch of pervs. ;) And second, I think if guys are allowed to walk around shirtless, then girls should at least beable to walk around in their bikini tops. I have seen plenty of guys doing this beyond the "shirt and shoes must be worn beyond this point".

What I am saying is that they told me to put a shirt on over my bathing suit top and all I have seen around the park are large-sized people wearing barely anything and they don't get in trouble when they ride rides, which I have seen on the platforms of various rides. I am thin and not large and hanging out all over the place, and I am the one who gets in trouble, not the tub-of- lard people running around and hoppin on rides.
