Raptor and the shirt policy

I think the only way to settle this is to post pics.......

You're right, this should settle things.

I haven't posted on here in a year but since I saw that pic I had too. That's the grossest thing I've seen in a while. How about this? First image on google. LINK

Ride On

This thread is getting way outta hand, fat people vs. thin people speculations all because of a Raptor ride policy! :)

Nah it just shows why the policy is in effect.

HaHa. I've seen that before. You guys are bad! :) Needless to say, I do not think that those women are going to be fitting on CP coasters any time soon. The one on the far right isn't that bad though.

I have seen another one out there with this obese woman in the shower, and another of her naked on the bed. But it is at a website that I fear contains cookies, so I'm not going to search for the link.

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

All I'm trying to say is that it's not fair that the larger more noticable people in bathing suit tops do not get in trouble, and the thin slender people like me get in trouble on rides. I'm just stating this because that's what I see at the park more than ususal.

Yeah, but you can't be biased toward bigger people. You have to enforce the rule on ALL people or don't enforce it on anyone. And I agree with Ben. We'll need to see some pics before we make an educated decision.

I was at Michigans Adventure today and a girl in a bikini road Thunderhawk no problems. Just if anyone cares.

I think I have been asked to put my shirt on at one point in time when I walked around with it off in an area not allowing it.

Michigan's Adventure is much more lenient with their "shirt/shoes" policy than CP. Also, Thunderhawk is technically in the "shirt optional" part of the park since it is surrounded by all the water rides. The sign saying that shirt and shoes are required is over by the arcade.

That being said, it comes down to the ride operators discretion...

How does one "road" something?

In 2004 I went on a class trip to CP. Someone stepped on my shoe strap, and it broke. I walked from Magnum to Pagoda bare footed. Only one person stopped to tell me the policy. I simply told them that I was on my way to go buy a new pair of flip flops.

Since then If I do wear flip flops to the park (which yes, all of my flip flops are comfortable), I don't wear my cheapies...

Uh oh Jesz. You just opened up a can o' worms now. :)

Bring on the flip-flop haters who are going to tell you that you ruined their day by making them wait an extra 6.2 seconds while you put your flip flops in a bin...

I don't seem to have any problems like that, then again I wear flip flips to CP all the time.

Whatever happened to sandals?

Same thing that happened to big hair and parachute pants.

You're telling me that flip flops are more "fashionable" than sandals? Yeah, right. Flip flops are SO hot right now.

Even if that were the case, it makes me glad that I favor function and comfort over fashion and "what's in", unlike 15 year old girls and the like. :)

Flip-flops are easy!! I have seen many people just put them in the seat and ride w/ one cheek on each flop!! No bin time, easy peasy.

bad, but thinking makes it so. --Hamlet

haha I know Josh. :) I tryed defending myself by saying they were comfortable.

DJ, I don't wear flip flops for fashion. If you saw most of my flip flops, you would see that they arn't for fashion. I wear them for comfort. I am the type of person that doesn't like shoes too much. Unlike my girlfriends, who have at least 20 pairs of shoes each, I have maybe 2 or 3 (not including my flips.)

I do buy at least 10 pairs of flip flops per summer. I always buy the cheap ones at wal-mart. I usually pay no more than $2 for each of them eathier. They are easy to slip on and off. And they are the closest thing to being bare footed.

The ones I wore in 2004 were a very old pair. I was also 17 then, which is close to 15. :) And for the record, the only ride I take my flips off is on Raptor. ;)

I mistrust adults who wear flip-flops. Especially ones who insist on using terms like "easy peasy" . . . ;)
