Those dates work out a lot better than the ones last year. I'll probably be able to make it to Dragster and Magnum.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I think they should add a couple more dates for Mantis, Raptor, Wicked Twister, MaXair and Skyhawk. ;)

So what exactly is a day pass, does that mean that if I have a pass and I want to get one for my girlfriend who does not, it is only $15 for the day? If so sweet, is there a limit to how many or how often you can get them?

Your pass is not valid at Castaway Bay. However, you, or anyone else for that matter, can purchase a day pass that gives you access to the waterpark for the day. With the Platinum Pass, you can purchase that day pass at a discount. I'm not sure if this is the same, but in previous years this has been a 1 discount per pass type of deal, meaning, if you had a pass, you could purchase a discounted admission for the person on that pass, but not anymore than that unless another person in your group had a pass too.

Edit: To clear things up, a Day Pass is for Castaway Bay, not Cedar Point.

ah ok so the day pass is for Castaway Bay, I thought it was for the park itself. That makes much more sense.

they're probably just re-using the paver's from geauga lake's front gate area.

That's what I was thinking but I'm pretty sure GL's front gate was stamped concrete, not something that can be moved. Anyway, should be a nice addition.

Right but the bricks were fake. It was just a big piece of concrete with a brick pattern imprinted overtop then painted red. And GL's front gate area was roughed up and cracked. Hardly something worth moving I would think.

We did that kind of concrete impression in construction class. It's easy to do and looks good when completed. However, when the concrete cracks, it messes up the overall look and won't look right even if the crack is filled.

Real bricks are the way to go!! (sticks thumb out and winks)

When you are building a new area full of used rides, it only makes sense to go all out on the sidewalks...;)

And some say CP cuts down trees. As it looks on the webcam, they are building a nice fake one. :)

Well, you know what they say... When you tear down a (fake) tree, you should replace it with another. ;)

Unfortunately, they're not going to be "real" bricks. At least by THIS picture it looks like they're pouring concrete.

I never understood why they would fill that in with pavers to begin with.

What are they doing to that flower bed? Are they just planting new flowers and shrubs?
