New Blog... demolition and something new.

In the new blog they show the demolition of a building. Looks like Ben and Jerry's. They said something new is coming and they would give us the "scoop" before the season starts. I think its a new Ice Cream parlor (with Tofts of course). Anyone else have any other theories? (other than the first ever wooden inverted coaster Splin-tor?)

Hmmm, maybe a new sit down restaurant?

I wouldn't mind an extensive Ice Cream Bar

Definitely the old Ben & Jerry's ice cream building.

Maybe another franchise!! Cold Stone!!!!;)

That's where the new Hooters is going :)

Cold Stone would be great but they would have to find a way to serve it faster. If there is more that 6 people in that store at a time you are going to wait half an hour to get your icecream. That could be the longest line at the park if they put a Coldstone in there.

Screw coldstone. It's all about Sandusky's very own Tofts.

While Cold Stone would be good, I'm guessing it would probably be really expensive (even more than Ben and Jerry's was), since their prices are kind of high already and CP restaurants always cost more.

Yeah, if Dippin Dots are $7 a bowl I can only imagine what they would charge for Cold Stone.

Obviously it is something to do with ice cream. This article is screaming foreshadowing. A perfect example is "scoop" which shows it is going to serve ice cream. I wonder why they tore the building down then if they were going to continue serving ice cream. I don't know, but I still think it has something to do with ice cream.

Well if they're removing the hard ice cream unit it has to be replaced in the same general area. Due to its unique needs as a food stand it would also stand to reason that a new unit be built instead of retrofitting another.

I thought I remember reading that Toft's was coming back for '08. Sounds like a good time for a rebuild of the ice cream parlor.

Im guessing they are demolishing it so that they can make it bigger. The seating area was ridiculously small, and if its hot enough for me to want ice cream, odds are I would prefer to consume it in AC.

I'd like to see a restaurant go in with healthier food options, but we all know that's not going to happen.

Healthy is for people not enjoying a vacation. even it is a small one.

Can anyone think of any other foods that are generally scooped?
or maybe its another new game/games area. Like a whole building of crane machines. Not really scooping... but if they turn them on there side...

^I disagree with that. Eating unhealthy food is the golden arches on the corner that I stop at when I have no time to make something.

Cold Stone sucks. Yay, mix up the ice cream with some stuff so it can melt and be runny by the time I get it. That's brilliant! Cold my ass.

You know, I don't mind paying a premium for good ice cream, er, rather, premium ice cream. It has been awhile since Cedar Point carried such goodness.

Not picking on you here, but this seems to be the general "enthusiast" motto, and enthusiasts take a lot of coaster-trips that could be considered vacations. Perhaps this is a big reason for the MF problems we're looking at these days?
Just a thought.
