Handel's is kind of average. Hershey's is pretty decent, but the further west you go the harder it seems to be to find. Perry's I haven't seen in Ohio in a long time, though their Web site says they do distribute here.

Never heard of either one of those. Not many local ice cream shops around here, but there seems to be a Dairy Queen everywhere you go.. lol.

Personally, you can't beat Ivanhoes. With over 200 different sundaes/shakes, and numerous flavors of ice cream, I haven't had the same thing there in a year. Its nice going to college and being not even 10 minutes away. :)

I'd like to see a restaurant go in with good food options period, but... etc.

In Novi, MI, there's Guernsey Farms Dairy. I haven't been there in awhile but they've got some good ice cream.

I took many, many trips to Handel's but I think I prefer Toft's. Down here in South Florida Jackson's is the famous parlour.

Since this has turned into a favorite ice cream topic, if you are ever in Bowling Green, KY, (and you should be, even if only to ride The Kentucky Rumbler at Beech Bend!) check out Chaney's Dairy Barn. Definitely some of the best ice cream I've ever had.

Anyone know the hours for Toft's? I'm going to Castaway this weekend and all the posts here have convinced me to take the kids to Toft's but the hours aren't listed on their website.

I believe they close at 9 PM. I'm not sure what time they open though.

We will probably never see healthier foods. they get junk food for cheap and sell it for a lot. the healthier you want, the more expensive its gonna get. Healthy food is usually fresh food. im sure they cant afford to buy stuff and have it go bad if its not consumed. fries and all that good stuff can be frozen and preserved. some greens that are healthy can be frozen to, but as said before it will cost you more money.

New blog up from this morning. Where's the 'character from Paddle Wheel' taken at? They obviously cut the background of the picture out (Magic wand tool anyone?)

I don't know that they cut it out, or used a nice sunny day to wash out the background. Not sure where it would be taken though, the rehab pavilions maybe (darker inside, nice bright outside right behind it).

^^That was my first thought as well, really bad selection job. If they're using CS3, that's even worse, as I can usually get the whole background in one click if I do it right using CS3.

Healthy is for people not enjoying a vacation. even it is a small one.

I diagree. If healthy options aren't available, people who are eating healthy are going to be very turned off to CP.

Then again as Demetri Martin says "I find that when I go to a theme park....the theme is...wait in line, fatty!"

No one can ever say that CP isn't catering to their customers wants...
