Demon Drop gone forever?!?!

So I am wondering, is DD going to be torn down, sold, or was last year the last season Cedarpoint would have it. Are they keeping it?? or has it been sold. I have been wondering this for a long time now and i would appreciate it if i got some info on it. Thank you.

There hasn't really been much news about it lately. I'm assuming it hasn't been sold. I'm sure it will be there for the 2007 season.

Well i heard they were tearing it down, or maybe it was just a rumor.

I hope it stays, its a classic.

I saw a picture of it being taken down with a crane. Looks like it was sold. :)

I saw that too... We best run over to Battery Park and take a few last pictures... ;)

I'll be swinging by the park on the way to MI to eat at Bay Harbor, so I'll confirm this rumor when I get back.

Do you have a link to the picture, its hard to believe that its being taken down without proof?

According to the funcoast cam, it's still standing proud.

Well i always heard that 2006 was the last season to ride it and if it wasnt sold by the end of the season it was being torn down.

What I'm wondering is why they would tear it down if no one bought it? What would Cedar Point do with it if they just tore it down?

Yeah that looks pretty fake because Blue Streak doesnt even have a top half.....lol
