Out of all the rides CP has decided to get rid of over the years, DD is the only one that just doesn't seem right to go.
What would it be like entering the park through the main entrance and not hearing DD? I don't even want to imagine that thought.
I've gone two years riding the ride not knowing if I'll ever do it again. :(

It's the only ride that actually makes me a bit nervous when I ride. Other rides are thrill, but DD get's me every time as the car inches forward. I can't see it leaving soon. The spot it is in isn't huge. They would have to do some pretty major work to put something new in. All in good time, all in good time.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Hmmm... for a reasonable price, I could buy it and put it in my backyard.
I hope you are only planing on looking at it. :)
You may be able to buy it, but where are you going to get the 91 Kilowatts of power to supply it?
There is a lot that goes into the cost of a ride. More than just the parts. You will also need some way of transporting the ride, and re-assembling it. Not to mention the permits needed.
By the way, if the asking price is the same as Mr. Hydes Nasty Fall was, it is $250,000. That may be different now, since they would probably give you all the spare parts from Mr. Hydes now too.

We thought about buying it for our Little Amusement Park we have but like Jason said with all the permits transporting from Ohio not worth my time. If the asking price is still the same $250,000.00 thats not bad for that ride except just all the requirements for it once it gets here. (We could put it in our Restaurants Parking Lot) But if we get it all PointBuzz members can ride for Free for one month! And Walt rides for a lifetime!!

Excellent mechanically and electrically, and very good cosmetically. Even if that's hard to believe (I have my doubts as well), it exemplifies CP's ability to maintain rides. My hat's off to the maintenance crew.
Kevin, I would hate to see a rematch. As much as I believe Michigan would win on a neutral field, I don't think that's good for college football.
