Another Rumor For The Fire

Though it can be debated with Flashback not exactly flashing or backing right now.

That is true. However it is still standing, so I count it. If Flashback was at CP, all the fanboys would want it counted, so its only fair to count it for SF.

So right now, the count is SFMM - 17, CP - 16.

Seth - Six Flags Magic Mountain currently holds the record. Not Cedar Point.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess that I haven't been paying close enough attention lately. Well, whatever they build next year, we can count on Cedar Point to make it worth our money.

$40 for ~$15,000,000 sounds worth it to me! ;)

P.S. Go Huskies!

They wouldn't need to start early to build 2 coasters. They would just need to hire more people.

It's still under initial construction so it's not yet "standing".

SBNO generally means it could be operated, but the park has chosen not to for one reason or another. P2007 could not be operated as A) there is no lift or launch mechanism in place, B) the trains aren't on site, and C) the trains would blow up ala RCT.

Generally speaking your right. But technically, it is a coaster, it is standing, and its not opperating.

Is Flashback down because of technical reasons or operational reasons? Let's say that today, at 1:03, Shapiro calls SFMM and says "Hey guys I want you to open Flashback immediately." Could it be done? If a ride is not operational, nor in the process of being fixed or restored, I don't think it could count towards a total coaster count. Just my $0.02

I'm not sure what the status is, and with SF who knows what the reason is.

As for P2007, it is not yet a coaster. Its some track attached to supports. The rest of the track that comprises this coaster is laying on the ground. So neither is it standing.

i agree its 16 all as far as the coaster count goes

as far as Mavrick goes i only think they have just begun if you look closely at the airtime hill there are a bunch of footers with supports which look like they are going to support a hill/turn or inversion. also there are supports right above the right turn after the second completed inversion. dont forget there are also footers in the lake close to the zig zag and there are footers near the actual zig zag im guessing that it will probably break a mile in length but i cant be completely sure

if you want to know what im talking about look at the pictures from aug 26 project area

There are no footers in the lake. Thats on the other side of the peninsula from the construction. :)

The bay is the MF side, the Lake is the Magnum/Breakers side.

And either way, there are no footers in the lake/bay.

We commonly refer to the area you're talking about as the "swan pond" because the swan boat attraction used to be there.

We were just jokin with you though. We knew what you meant. :)
