If I had to guess, CoasterDaddy, it's no longer there and it was the wood they're using to build the electrical shed.

Tony - where did you get your information regarding maglev technology?

Gravity is free, maglev is not.

Granted Maglev is cheaper to operate than traditional TRAINS and BUSES, but not as cheap as traditional lifts/launches.

Maglev would be pointless anyway, because at lower speeds it still REQUIRES wheels.

Tony, you spent your entire post attempting to berate him but instead all you did is prove how childish you really are by calling him names and saying that he's dumb.

There's no need for childish antics. If you have a leg to stand on with your predictions or ideas then they wouldn't get the criticism they endure.

I implore you to stop.

Confuscious Say...All those out there who are the critics and not expressing their own ideas for pure imagination sake shoot other ideas down, so harshly at times, are just too afraid that they will be under the same scrutiny of others out there who are exactly the same as themselves. Weak imaginations breed strong critical opinions. *** Edited 8/18/2006 11:38:35 PM UTC by Zbusta***

He also says..."Ignorance is the night of the mind, but a night without moon and star."

I say...If you're going to quote a famous Chinese philosopher, at least spell his name correctly.

No, that was one of your quotes, wasn't it?

And of course, you would never make a quote without experiencing it yourself...right?

well the confucius part was supposed to be a joke anyway, yes of course I have been. I guess thats what people get for sharing their imaginative ideas with others. But i dont blast others ideas, I take their idea and try to see how they came up with it from their point of view. Its called taking the ball and rollin with it, not stopping the ball and kicking it to the curb. *** Edited 8/19/2006 12:03:23 AM UTC by Zbusta***

Wow, you guys are actually confusing the Japanese philosopher with Confuscious.

A spoof of the philosopher himself.

Last year I booked my hotel stay 3 months in advance.

This year I waited until 2 weeks before.

I wonder what I had extra to do for those 3 months that made booking my hotel necessary.

Oh wait, there was no essential need, I just wanted the piece of mind that it would be all ready to go when vacation time came.....

</analogy>

I dont see why everyone feels the need to read too far into the timing of construction. I can remember the same thought and logic went into the timing of the TTD announcement. -> "They aren't announcing it yet, because they are not sure a L-TH-B coaster will be sufficient and they may want to rework the design"

Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point
