This is my take on those odd track pieces at the staging area.

The support in the bottom right looks like it could be used to hold up a loop. Similar to the supports on Storm Runner. Look at the link below, it reminds me of something similar to those supports.

True, though none of the other Intamin hyper/rockets have transitions this tight, which leads to believe the train will not be traveling at high speeds. Going more than 30MPH through that thing will break necks.

Of course that doesn’t rule out the Wing Rider Concept either, I just can’t see anything terribly fast ;) *** Edited 8/17/2006 7:11:16 AM UTC by Joe E***

whats up everyone,

im new to the site but just as excitied about "MAVERICK"

im extremely curious to find out what the ride and trains will be like.

i was bored at work today, and drew some stuff up. tell me what you think.

http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f313/Jkowalec/seat.jpg

the seats would tilt back as the "launch" does what it does, and throughout the ride the seats would give you a chance to look at the clouds for a second or two.

catchin my fix nowadays at SF Magic Mountain...

The track with the big supports conencted to them could be for the storage track. KK's storage track looks the same except that the supports conencted to it are a little bigger.

That there is so much slack in the safety cable that if he did fall, it wouldn't save him; he'd hit the ground first.

That didn't take long (and DBCP gets the virtual cookie). It might be just short enough, but its way too close to call. He might as well not be wearing the harness.

Jugga, I was thinking about the bucket sitting on the track, just below where the worker is standing. Generally, things like wrenches and other tools are stored in those kinds of buckets. That could cause a problem as well if it fell.

I highly doubt that would be a painful transition because it is designed so that it can easily be taken at high speed. Apparently some people don't understand the concept of heartlining and that it is used to reduce or eliminate stress in the head/neck area.

^ Until you put a wing-walker on there and you're so far outside the HL that it whips you pretty good.

Hence the reason this transition knocks the WW theory down a couple more percentage points.

Yes. Below zero. I hope it is a good transition, and knowing the state of technology, it will most definately be one.

I probably ain't gonna be able to go 'til next year, how do you think I feel?? :(

Below zero? I thought we were well into the theoretical negative region of exponential decay?
