Update: August 16

It certainly seems more and more likely to be an Intamin Atlantis Adventure type of AquaTrax ride...the pacing is similar to that coasters construction also, considering it is likely to be Cedar Points first and only truly "themed" coaster ("a new direction" = themed ride) - thus, construction NEEDED to start early to be ready for the THEME construction all winter...it will be elaborate.

Yes, Atlantis Adventure is an aquatrax. Not sure why you needed to scream it though.

Personally that statement is high up there on my annoyance meter. You know steel, concrete, electricity, oxygen, etc. will also all be involved with this ride, but I don't post about it constantly. How about actually coming out and saying something besides what is already obvious.

Just because it is going over water doesn't mean it is an Aquatrax if that is what you are implying.

I bet there is gonna be some kind of quick transitions on this ride also! (along with MrScotts water)

If it was a wing walker, they wouldn't have designed the transition that way.

That's not what he's implying. He's stated a few times that the coaster going over water doesn't equate to "being involved".

So, if you'd have been paying attention, you'd know that he's not stating the obvious. He's stating his opinion, and in a much quieter fashion than most others around here.

Tension is running high here today.

Man, I hate to admit it, but maybe it really is an aquatrax. Think about it. They tore down WWL, a water ride. Did anyone REALLY have a problem with it? Probably not, but compared to the other thrill rides that are coming out, it could seem like a good idea to take old technology and replace it with similar, newer, more innovation technology like the aquatrax.

I don't know if this makes a difference but it sure is weird!!!

C'mon people..... grow up!!!!! I've never seen so much tension about something so trivial.....Let people believe what they want to believe. That doesn't mean you have to be an ass about it. I know people do have the tendency to think they know everything; as well as blowing smoke up people's ass. Nevertheless, just leave it alone...enough of the harsh bagering people...... We will find out when they make the annoucement (whenever that may be). In the meantime, chill out people!!!!

Today? I think tension has been running high here since mid-2005. I can't even read these threads anymore with out getting frustrated at people's overreactions and hostility.

This appears to be a group of guys who really need to get *paid*. Or, just exchange the first constanant with another.
