Iron Dragon

I just wanted to get everyones opinion about this ride. I like Iron Dragon a lot, but I wouldn't really consider it a Top-10 coaster, but it's a nice fun ride with nice sharp turns and very relaxing. Compared to Cedar Creek Mine Ride, and Corkscrew I like Iron Dragon more. I think its a nice ride to ride after you've rode Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster at least 4 or 5 times during the day.

I liked it a lot more before they tore all the trees down. It's still fun, but I think it took a little away from the ride. I like the TTD fly by and all, it's just not the same though.

I always feel that on the 1st drop too! I always use the ID to look and see how long the wait is for TTD.

I love the ending, the TTD fly over, the paint job, and the lines.

I used to like it. Last year, my daughter was 46" tall. Iron Dragon and Disaster Transport were the only 'grown up coasters' she could ride. We rode Iron Dragon over and over.

Luckily this year she grew to past 48". Now she loves Magnum and I am more than happy to ride it over and over!

That's exactly what I was thinking Gomez. I love being right next to Dragster and seeing what the line is like. The new colors didnt hurt to much. Although I'd pick the old colors over the new ones. Still, it's not to bad...

I think ID would look great with a dark sliver track, and creamish white color supports, rather than the orange and yellow. You have Mantis's yellow, Dragsters yellow, and Iron Dragons orange, all looks too much of the same.

It's probably wishful thinking, but I wish they could find a way do away with the OTSRs and use a more modern lap bar. It would make the ride more comfortable... It would probabaly increase load times, but those OTSRs are really not needed on this ride.

My favorite part of the Iron Dragon is walking down the exit way.

I used to like the ride a lot more...well, actually, that goes for a few other coasters too, and for the same reasons. Went to other parks, rode their respective types of rides. ie. Big Bad Wolf at BGW. Blew me away in comparisson to the only two suspended coasters i'd been on were ID and Top Gun at PKI.

Don't get me wrong. I still like ID. The pretzel at the end is still one of my favorite endings to any coaster, but the first half of the coaster, other than the first drop couldn't be more "blah". The trees being gone and the lack of darkness at night doesn't help its cause neither.

anybody who knows me knows my views of that ride. Like our crew shirts last year on WildCat said..."I'd rather be a pussy than a dragon!"

I've only ridden Iron Dragon once and I don't remember it that much. When I go next month I will be sure to ride it some more.

Cedar Point must have artists working for them....lol. I'm sure the next coaster combination we see is Purple and Sandstone. Thats the only color Cedar Point hasn't used yet. I like the Iron Dragon more with its Orange supports and red Track. To me it makes Iron Dragon stand out more with Cedar Point then anything. I have a lot of good picture shots of Iron Dragon just because of where it's located and it's vibrant colors.

I love riding in the back of ID, more fun after the second lift hill and you fly!

I also like checking out TTD line while I am riding.

I also ride ID if it is a walk-on.
