TTD Running Smoothly

They just opened the queue a little while ago, and by watching the Cleveland live webcam, I saw trains launch at the 45 second interval! Capacity must be a lot better! It's good that they have managed to get the ride up and running again.

In the words of Austin Powers:

Yeah Baby Yeah!!!

Good job to all the hard working maintenance people and Intamin reps who got it all straightened out

Man is it ever sweer watching those trains go again. And the launch intervals do look much better....they have to be running at near capacity, so the downtime, all in all, was worth it I suppose

Yes here it's 8:33 pm and it's the same, i think TTD is not in perfect running order. Don't scream victory too early.

Well, I think it broke down again.......But the thing is, when it's running the launches are consistant. Hopefully they are just tweaking the ride like they said they would be doing during the days, and it will be up again in no time.

There are people in the station and there is a line, so don't give-up too quickly

Even the website warns of intermittent downtime. Rhey just overhauled the kicker wheels and maybe something isn't adjusted or alligned properly somewhere. These short bursts of downtime are to be expected in my opinion.....we shall see.

EDIT plus there are some storms near the park..maybe they are waiting to see if things clear up

JoshBrown is right. They did something (I really don't know what) with the wheels during the last few weeks, and Cedar Point said that they will have spots of downtime due to maintenance and tweaking. Hopefully this is what it is, and not a real problem. I heard yesterday, that some of the trains had to be pushed by ride-ops because the advance wheels were not working. So hopefully they are just adjusting some things.

Kicker wheels are the rubber tires that advance the trains through the station. This is why the trains had to be pushed thru manually a few times yesterday. They were also apparently haveing some trouble getting the trains thru the blocks

k

The Blocks are the different areas of the ride that the computer controls. This is based partially on information that comes from the proximity (or prox) sensors that are mounted on the track. These are the green things that line the track. They basically tell the computer where the train is at...it is a safety feature. So, lets say, the train has not yet cleared the block at the top...the computer will not allow another train to launch until it does clear. there are, I believe, either four or five "blocks" on TTD. I hope this answers your question

Glad to help

listen girls, get a life and stop sitting around and worrying "how swell! the ride ran once-then pee your pants- and now its broken again-and cry like a bunch of babies...its disgusting. And oh yeah, once again i have to say this before they delete my post because you CP fans cant take any criticism, THIS ROLLER COASTER IS NOT TALL ENOUGH TO CLOSE BECAUSE OF A STORM!!!!!! sorry to break the news, but if they hear a sprinkle is coming, they aint gonna close it for that, okay?! its not a skyscraper, its a roller coaster! thats what the lightning rod sticking at the top is for. Really, im sick of you ignorant people who dont use their mind. Enjoy your crappy, innefficient roller coaster, i can just say, i wont be anywhere near cp, or any of you fans anytime soon.

Not tall enough to close because of a storm. What about the lightning? Even short trees get struck by lightning. Any coaster should shut down during a storm. Its just common sense.
