So, who is it gonna be? Mets or Cards?
Cats eat birds, you know. So maybe the Cards would be for the better... :)

Hey OldCPer, that's a nice story. :) Though I've never been much of a pro baseball fan, I grew up in Cleveland and sometimes I followed the Indians. Well I'm rooting for a Tiger win, since that's the closest I can get! I hope I can see some of the game from the dragster line, maybe all that wind last weekend blew the leaves off the trees. :)
Honestly though, how do you strike out looking with 2 out and your team behind? You can't just stand there, you need to take a cut at it.
Goodbye MrScott
John
I actually know very few "bandwagon" jumpers in Detroit. The Tigers have always been a huge force in the city, they've just sucked for as long as I've been alive. I've been a Tigers fan my whole life, and I've waited 21 years to say "The Tigers are going to the World Series!"
I'll be there first pitch on Saturday, in front of the big screen!

I'll be at Cedar Point tomorrow, but only until 6 or 7. Looks like I'll have to listen to it on the radio coming back home!
GO CARDINALS!!

MOO!!!
Well, I was 4 when they last won it, 7 when they last made it to the playoffs and 13 when they last had a winning season.
Just remember, the Cards were under .500 against their own division. And the AL smoked the NL in interleague this year (including the Tigers going 3-0 against STL).
Not saying the Tigers will sweep (though it would be nice) but I don't give the cards more than 1, maybe 2 wins.
Goodbye MrScott

I find myself totally disappointed that my Mets didn't make it this year :(
The Cards pitching was outstanding last night (game 7) and the Mets really blew a couple of great opportunities.
Oh well-nice to see I wasn't the only Mets fan left out there!! :)
But on the flip side, at least it wasn't the Yankees!!!
I can't help but remember the '03 Series and think the Cards are in for the same fate from the Tigers.
I will be have to check out the score at CP on occasion tomorrow to see what's happening since my hubby (a Reds fan) and I will be enjoying BooBuzz.

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
Let's go Cardinals! Shut um down in game 1 Weaver!!
You're right Raptor Jo, are pitching was outstanding, especially Suppan. Supppppppppppe.
It was the '04 series when we were swept against the Red Sox Jo.

Just a hunch. A plane will fly around detroit from 3-6 pm before game 2 on sunday. The banner behind the plane will read: Retaliate For 68. Go Cardinals...From KTRS and DINO all in red letters. Have fun with that Detroit. Oh the pilot is an A's fan so he is gonna make sure you see it.
Go Cardinals.
I would love to have an AR-50 or a 50 BMG on Sunday, I would plink that sucker right out of the sky in a heartbeat.
If there is a Game 6, it will be shown on the big screen Saturday night.
IF!!! Hey if the tigers can beat the Yankees 3 in a row and beat the A's 3 in a row then why can they beat the Cards 3 in a row????
LETS GO TIGERS!!!!!!!

Of course we do! All those losers in the ghetto of Detroit, they carry guns! ;)
What's "ghetto" or "loser" about carrying a gun?
