Wow. That's pretty awesome.

Still, some people said it would never happen. ;)

On that note, I have to chip in my first post since forever....

I'm not a baseball fan, but if the Detroit Tigers are in the series, I'm a fan of theirs :)

My dad, who isn't big on rides, was at the park the Friday that they showed one of the Tigers/Yankees games on the screen. He really enjoyed being able to watch it, and he said there were a lot of other people doing the same thing, all cheering when the Tigers had a good play. I think that showing these games on the giant screen has been a really good move for CP.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

That is great. Even Buckeye fans would enjoy watching the Tigers put a beatdown on either the Mets or the Cards. I really hope it's the Mets, so the Tigs can say they won the World Series, and beat BOTH New York teams in the process. Too bad there's no game on Friday night, which is when I plan on making my last trip to CP this year. *** Edited 10/18/2006 8:59:52 PM UTC by ramboozle***

Hail to the Victors

Wow this is awesome. I'm going on Saturday too; does anyone know what time game 1 starts? I'll have to drag my buddies over to the Iron Dragon area just to tell them that I really want to ride Iron dragon. They'll think I'm weird for choosing to go on Iron Dragon over the top rides but thats ok.

Detroit won 22 years ago in 1984. Try almost 60 years and then you can complain.

^ True, but then again we have the Lions too. It's not always easy being a detroit sports fan :) I think it's much easier being a sports fan in Ann Arbor :)

Good move by CP again. Its kind of funny though, the Tigers are the only team of any sport out of Michigan that I'll watch, and that has partly to do with my high school being the Tygers :)

And yes, I'm well aware that our school spells tigers wrong.

Try having the Indians, Cavaliers, AND Browns to root for. Nothing exciting there anymore aside from the Cavs and LBJ. At least neither of us have to root for the Arizona Cardinals...

Detroit has actually had some nice teams recently. 2 of the 4 major sports have had championships in this decade, and if the Tigers win it'll be 3/4. And those of us who are Michigan fans will have a National Championship and perfect season to celebrate again the first week of January. :)

It seems like the whole country (with the exception of St. Louis and NY) are rooting for the Tigers.

Being a Detroiter, I'm a Tiger fan at heart.

GO TIGERS!!!
