Gee, when I was in school we never got President's Day off. I always thought it odd that we didn't take the day off for the Federal holiday, but we DID take the day off for a day that, at the time, was NOT a Federal holiday*.
When I was in college, we got time off for Christmas and Easter (plus mid-semester breaks) but NO other holidays. Along about my Senior year, they added a day off for ONE holiday. You can probably guess which one.

Ahhh right, because simply calling it MiLK day (due to some kind of innocent misinterpretation), is not enough. Calling it "chocolate" MiLK day sounds suspiciously racist. Regardless of how innocent it may seem to you or your coworkers, you have to realize that some may interpret it as a crude and racist joke.

Yes, I seriously expect you to believe that it's not racist, because it isn't. Are specific flavors of milk tied to specific ethnic groups now? If that's true, I have yet to hear it. I know of plenty of other food products that are associated with specific ethnicities, but milk was never one of them.
I work in entertainment. Our job is to bring entertainment, and joy, and fun to our patrons. None of my employees have any issues with us bringing in a treat for them, on a day that looks like it says "MILK Day" on the schedule.
I thought the "get offended by everything" culture was something I only had to encounter on Facebook/Twitter. I had no idea that somehow I would be offending people by mentioning chocolate milk.

I don’t find it racist. If anything, I see it as a fun little nod. Just because you imply (whether or not the statement was implying this or not) that someone is white or black, doesn’t make you racist. Life would be so much better if everyone didn’t think every statement was racist or offending in some way.
DISCLAIMER: I’m not a racist by any means.
