I really hope that is sarcasm. The park will let people know who is able to ride the coaster when they want people to know. They own the ride and let who they want in to preview it.
the ride is not going anywhere. it will be as open as long as its mechanical parts work. ill be there to ride when it opens or if thwy decide to do something special. im sure you will ride when you get your first opportunity.
I Miss the Pirate ride.
Or.... you could be thankful you got the tickets and not complain, because I know a whole lot of people on this forum who would LOVE to have those tickets.
1999: First visit
Halloweekends- Harvest Fear, Tombstone Terror-Tory
Ride Operations- Professor Delbert’s Frontier Fling
Perhaps the best way for Tony to handle the situation would be to auction Just Coasting's ticket to someone else on here that isn't quite as silly and obnoxious. Throw in a free cup of stimulant before the tour starts, and you'll have a bidding war.

You say big deal, it is a big deal, if you say the tickets are going on sale at 12:00 midnight, then they should with no problems. I contemplated on waiting or going to sleep because I had to get up at 4:30 A.M. for a meeting the following morning.
Yeah! And TTD should be open and operating at full capacity every single minute of active operations for the season with no problems! And if it isn't then Tony Clark is to blame! If TTD isn't open under these minimal conditions, I say we gather up a mob with torches and pitchforks and storm his house!
Oh, and I plan on riding SV on July 4th weekend when some of my family is coming in from out of town to join us at Cedar Point for a day. If it rains that evening and we aren't able to ride it due to weather conditions, I expect to get a full refund of my bring a friend ticket prices AND a partial refund (maybe 60-75%) of the price I paid for my 2018 platinum pass.
(So you seriously had to get up at 4:30 for a meeting and the difference between getting your WCO ticket confirmed at 12:00 on the nose and 12:30 actually made an impactful difference in how rested you were for your meeting?) wow...
Proud to have fathered a second generation coaster enthusiast destined to keep me young at heart and riding coasters with a willing partner into my golden years!

And no, I am not perfect at my job, just like Cedar Point and Tony Clark are not perfect, as is this issue.
That's not surprising, considering you stay up past midnight to get WCO tickets when you have a 4:30 wakeup call for a meeting the next morning!

So wait, youre telling me cafeine is a stimulant? I though people drank coffee every morning because it was so tasty and made their breath smell great. Ill have to ask my Dr about this.
First ride; Magnum 1994
I was not aware Taco Bell had pre-shift meetings at 4:30 am before the breakfast rush, your mom must Need some stimulant getting you to work so early... but at least she can clean up her basement when you’re playing burrito artist.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
What does Dragster have to do with Winter Chill Out?
Nothing.
There are people they went to bed because they couldn't stay up any later. Said I will get them early in the morning.
There was no guarantee that Tony Clark was going to get this issued resolved.
Therefore those people need to be made whole!
I think you should be barred from this site because you are making fun of people that work at Taco Bell.
Not Cool!

Someone attending WCO please inquire about a SV media day like the one for Gatekeeper. Please request access to Point Buzz members since we are the biggest fans of the park. Thank you in advance.
If they do invite people to media day, please also request a very limited number of tickets, to be available at midnight on a Thursday. :D

I demand the park now give every enthusiast permanent access to every new attraction complete with free back massages.

^There's one or two people doing all of the complaining.
Fixed that for you.
But yes, perspective.
When a thing sells out in an unprecedented amount of time, said "thing" is doing well. When the money for that thing is being raised for a children's charity, it's doing even better.
The park doesn't have to put on this little shindig. The people who volunteer to help get it organized and function don't have to volunteer their time.
Chill out.

Keep bitching, everyone! Keep complaining about how UNFAIR it is. I’m bookmarking this thread for next year when there isn’t a Winter Chill Out, I’ll refer everyone to this thread as the reason why. They are putting on an event, (that by all accounts is pretty amazing) at their expense, donating every dime to charity. Know how easy it would be to just deep-six the entire event if it turns into a headache?
I hope to attend WCO one of these years, but I have a feeling it will be discontinued if people don’t quit complaining. Kinda like enthusiast Media Day invites. Kinda like Passholder Preview Night (guessing that’s gone this year).
CoasterMania! was reformed a couple years ago due to overcrowding and people complaining. It’s now my favorite day of the year at CP. But I still hear people complain; no donuts & coffee, no surprise gifts, etc. If they quit that event, I’ll be really upset.
But hey, keep complaining about how unfair everything is, how you were inconvenienced, and how Tony screwed it all up. Pretty sure you still won’t have a ticket to WCO 2018, and WCO will disappear going forward.
PS- Typical disclaimer; this isn’t directed at any one individual. But if it applies to you, you know who you are.
ROUNDABOUND.
I don't think that asking about SV Media Day/Preview at WCO is a bad idea - after all, WCO is the event where the smaller updates and early season events sometimes are announced.
But saying that PointBuzzers should get priority because we're the biggest fans is kind of in bad taste.
Shane - Calm down. Events aren’t cancelled merely due to criticism. If that was the case the park would never operate. Asking the park for more nice gestures towards their biggest fans isn’t unreasonable. That’s why they do events like WCO, CM, ERT. And I’m hoping a grand media day like GK where they will undoubtedly receive great social media promotion from us! Asking Cedar Point to have a nice media preview for us fans isn’t going to cause them to cancel events.
