Winter Chill Out 2015

I go for the fun of the event. But the main reason is to continue to support this great charity that I was introduced to back in August of 2009. Have been a participant of Coasting for Kids all 6 years, already signed up for this year. A big thanks for Jeff to introducing this charity and putting together the inaugural event back in 09. Look how it has expanded. Remember to thank Tony and the gang as they are volunteering they own time to put on this event.

Any chance anyone has 2 tickets for tomorrow that they don't plan to use or need to get rid of? I never got tickets and now I'm wishing I could go! Thanks!

Any chance they might end up cancelling it today? The amount of snow has gone up. There is 1-3 tonight and another 3-5 tomorrow. So far no advisory or warning is out.

If there was any chance, do you think anyone on PointBuzz would know?

I was asking if anyone thinks they might. I don't expect any factual answer unless it comes from Tony or anyone at the park.

That was yesterday, the forecast has changed for the worse since then. This could be a safety hazard. Over my way, there is 5-8 inches forecast for tomorrow. I know I could just simply not go. But I hope the park considers the safety of everyone driving there.

Sandusky weather forecast as of 10am for Saturday: High near 30. Winds 5-10mph. 80% chance of 1-2 inches of snow. That doesn't sound bad to me. Don't look at Cleveland weather forecasts. Their weather is always worse than Sandusky's.

I think it is too short of a notice to cancel today, regardless of the Weather.

The just downed it to only around 1 inch tonight, which is much better. And I think they could still cancel up till this afternoon today if they feel it's a safety hazard as long as they don't do it tomorrow morning, although they said yesterday 5PM was when they would make the call.

I just checked the Toledo television stations. Clear Saturday morning with snow expected late afternoon into the evening.

As of right now, I don't know which forecast to go by. Even my local stations are giving conflicting information. I guess just wait and see. I hope ODOT and OTC keep the roads clean.

I have one thing to say. Just leave your house earlier than you were planning to and take it slow on the roads if you are going through an area where there would be "a lot" of snow.

You realize that at some point the park has to commit to the event (staff scheduling, catering, etc.), pretty much regardless of the weather, right?

Relax. Take some Xanax or Quaaludes or something, whatever it takes. The amount of hand wringing you're doing is alarming.

I didn't mean for it to come off that way. The person I'm riding up with just had a fender bender (literally) which was caused by driving in snow and slippery roads and is getting the car back from the shop today.

Based on Tony's last tweet, it's a go for tomorrow.
