I still would love to see a more intense haunted house. Alot of other parks have a haunted house that is based on insane ward. Is there a reason why Cedar Point dont hardly use any blood or gore. All we would have to do is warn the parents that there is blood and gore. What happens after that is beyond our power it the parent's choice.
^ Thats what I was talking about with my asylum idea. CP needs to step it up a notch if they want to be the #1 Halloween event.

^Being #1 will never happen. Sorry. But Cedar Point will never beat HHN or Haunt.
As for Boneville, I think Zeek meant scaring guests as they are on the train passing by. Back in the early years of Screamsters, we would scare guests as the train passed behind the Jitney Arcade. That lasted about 2 years.
yea as far as the cars idea went they did something like that at Kings Island It was called route 666 it was fun but the line was incredible long. we see how long the line is for the ride during normal hours. At KI they hade a haunt actor drive the car and then he would stop at certain locations. I can see this being really hard to keep capacity up and keep it safe and scary.

Yep.. When they found monsters hanging in the tree's.. it came to a quick end.. hehehe

Scary Oldies was a great attraction. ALOT of it had to do with the crew. They were a close knit crew of friends for years before they did the event so it just clicked..

I certainly agree the park could use a more intense haunted house. However, I don't agree that intensity needs to involve blood and gore. It's difficult to use that kind of stuff in a way that doesn't look cheap, fake, and amateur-ish. In fact, I would go as far as to say I've never seen a haunt use it in an effective way. I would much rather have some really good actors (not just someone who pops out from a hiding place) to make some truly disturbing characters. I think that would work especially well with the theme of an insane ward you gave above. Of course, the hardest part about that is that "really good actors" are a lot harder to find than just someone who pops out from somewhere. As good as our Screamsters are, I would still be hard pressed to name more than a handful from each zone who do the acting thing exceptionally well.
I saw this one show on TV a few months ago where an amusement park reversed the trains on their roller coasters and made them go backwards for their Halloween event. That would be pretty neat to see!

Get rid of corn stalkers, and bring back the monsters rock band!!!
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
^ CornStalkers was a pretty big hit last year. I dont think that will be going anywhere anytime soon. It's a lot better than Werewolf Canyon thats for sure!

Yea It was voted maze of the year at knotts. I would like to see some more stuff along the midways. We need a bus or a car by carnevel. I mean really what Kind of carnival is it without a small car with clowns jumping out. I would like to see a pirate ship for the island. Im curious to ask what do some of you think fear faire needs.

What fear Faire needs is a complete re-build. This is another discussion I had with a few folks last year. What do you think of that could be perceived as scary/ spooky renaissance/ mid evil time period stuff?
I agree that the dragons are a good idea, but there could be so much more. Personally I'd like to see it split in sections. Set one part up to resemble a dungeon and torture chamber. We had the guillotine (sp?) but that all by itself was merely a prop to hide behind or climb on. How about some chains, cages, other torture devices.
Maybe a section that actually resembles a renaissance town that was ravaged by the plague. A few food carts with 3 rubber rats that were bought at the dollar store is embarrassing. Add some dead looking animals on the pathway, maybe some trash. A body cart that isn't a Rubbermaid wheelbarrow. At least try to paint it to look like it's wood.
Thirdly, the dragons and the Knights. The most obvious part of what this zone was trying to achieve. I'm not quite sure as to how to improve on them, however I'd like to see them set up more randomly. They were all set in a very straight line.
Lastly (but doubtful) It might be nice to see something set up to resemble a jousting competition.
I guess the I'm trying to make is that Fear Faire needs some atmosphere.
Don't call me a "scare actor", I'm a Screamster
I agree with you Triptych. The concept off Fear Faire is very cool but need more props that resemble the middle ages. What you should have is a hunchback or an old style excinutor that wears a back mask and carries a big ax around. You could also use some monks but they are disfigured and walk around chating. For Carevil I would love to see alittle bit more props such as a little car but not with clowns jumping out. I would love to see more freaks as screamsters which would be nice. For Terror Island I think we need a priate ship. But what i mention from above would be a good layout and expansion for the island and would give it that priety look.

Sorry, but that is my professional opinion.
On a side note: Cedar Point use to do trick-or-treat on Cadillac Cars. It was not very scary at all but it was cool that you would drive your car around the track and stop at different stations to receive candy. Guest still ask about why the park canceled that. I was told it was a 'safety issue'. Everything in that park is a safety issue.

Cedar Point used to do that in frontier town. The cadllaics cars when they first had halloweekends were they only had three haunted houses and no fright zones. Those three haunted houses were the one in the disaster transport os it 13 years old. The toxic tunnels of terror, and a haunted house an actual one where the mortuary science is at.
Yea that was fun but I also know it was a capacity killer. I do know that that went away around the same time as the route666 did. Maybe something happened or the insurance people have there way. For fear Faire Id actually like to see a cast front with a platform on top for a "caller" to be up there. Fright zone has mr skull, carnevel has the barkers, and Terror Island has the guys in the boat house.

If you had to elimate one haunted house and create a new one what haunted house would you choose and what will be the theme of the new haunted house?
Well since the least popular haunted house is Pharaoh's Secret, I would replace that one and use the Insane Asylum idea I posted awhile back ago. Or... I would have Rob Zombie come to CP and theme it like his horror movie, House of 1000 Corpses. He seems to have some wicked/crazy ideas that makes people want to see his movies and think about what happened twice.
