Another question can you change zones at all after working for a while on the zone you wanted to?
I don't think you can. The only way people get moved around is if you dont do absolutely anything, they will then put you in a haunted house. You won't want that!!!

All im going to say this will be different scaring people then being scared. It wiil be a differnet experience. I hope that I get hired. I hope i will get to meet you guys at Halloweekends
If they can hire a guy in a wheelchair they will hire you. Last year there was a guy in a chair that looked like a normal park guest but as you would get close he would scare you. Bout made my mom piss herself.
Let's Get Weird.
Wow, this topic really ran away over the weekend.
I just wanted to touch on a few points, most of which have already been discussed. First of all, hiring does begin in late July/early August. You'll see it somewhere on here or the CP website when it's time to apply.
I've never heard of the fog affecting asthma, but I suppose it's not impossible. You definitely want to disclose that kind of stuff when you have your interview or at the very least on the medical information card you fill out prior to employment. It's not going to keep you from getting hired, but it will be helpful to everyone if a situation does occur. I don't know all the details on the fog, but the juice they use is really high class stuff. Not the crap you get for those fog machines you buy at Spencer's.
Assuming training runs like it did last year, you would come on Sept. 12 or 13 (Saturday or Sunday) to process in, do paperwork, take the training class, get set up with your costume, etc. Then come back the evening of the 17th (Thursday) for training in your zone with lights and fog on. I have received absolutely no confirmation that this is how things will work this year, so it's definitely subject to change.
On Terror Island last year, I attempted to space the veterans out so that they'd be close enough to new people to offer help. I think our ratio was roughly 3 new people for every veteran though, and with it being a brand new zone, everyone was learning. Some newbies like to get together and just learn their own way, which is usually pretty cool because I think more fresh ideas come out of that than having someone show you how they've done it for 3+ years. However, the veterans are definitely there to help you, and I don't think any TL will have a problem with pairing you with somebody if you just ask.
Once you are in a zone, you're pretty much there or could move to a house. There aren't enough extra costumes to just allow people to switch to wherever they want to be.
And Cymbols- you, me, Skeletor, and Carl the Carny need to chat sometime...
Alrighty sounds good, and yea I only mentioned the fog affecting asthma because there is some places that warn you about it. I know running through the ridiculously thick fog of fear fair on those no wind night was tough for some people. Its definitely also a great idea to be truthful on your medical history.

Ok, its great how we're all trying to help someone out with becoming a Screamster, but lets get back to the topic and get some input of what should come and go for future Halloweekends.
Wiggum, do you think it is at all possible to convert the bridge leading onto Terror Island into a pirate ship?

No. Bridge is better anyways. And does anyone else get the feeling that, just like in the park, we are the outcasts and everyone else just kind of ignores us? I mean, we do bring in the biggest crowds of the season, so we have to be somewhat of an importance. I don't know, I may be wrong though, but if we're the only ones shooting ideas out for this year then I really kind of hope there's no Screamster bashing come Halloweekends time if we didn't do something that other mite have hoped. I don't know, I may just be thinking crazy here.

^ But we need something BIG so people can actually see us. Many people just walked by the boathouse and went into CarnEvil and never came back because they didnt know the island was there.
Thats because we are the freaks of the night! :) I wouldnt let it bother you. We all know that we give 100% every night. We're out there to have fun and give it our best and thats what we do. I actually see and know a lot of people that give us plenty of attention. Like you said Zeek, if we're the only ones voicing our opinions, then they have no right to criticize us because where were they when all this took place? Am I right or am I right?

We'll still get hated on, get complaints. Comes with the job, but for me, it makes it more fun and if you know me at all, I think you know why I enjoy it hahaha.

I would like to see some type of vehicle by the island like a paddlewheel out of the water and on the mainland by the boat house. have it all decked out with people and stuff it could be pretty cool.

What they should use for terror island is the prop from the priate ride. Like the dummys and scatter them around the island. People can visit it during the day and look at the decorations. They should build a priate ship on the island where you would have to go through it and you would place alot of fog machines inside it. Then in the pirate ship you will have different rooms one that have gold and treasure, one with a bunch of skeltons hanging from the wall, and captain quarters where you will be frighten by the scremasters and the props.
yea, I dont know how it would work with the going through the day. 1 It would need to be staffed by security due to there being a ride on the island. The other bad part would it would leave no suprise to the people going through the island at night.

well in regards to RockStar's request of "back on topic"
I would love to see at least one of the 3 car rides turned into a haunt. I had discussed this with a few people last year and we decided the greatest hindrance would be those guests that wouldn't keep their car moving, and a long line spilling out onto a midway. If it were made into a walk through, there would be the issue of the metal rail, being a tripping hazard, and of course those guest who wouldn't stay on the path.
A few of the Screamsters who had worked at the GL haunt said they did something like this and it was a huge success.
anyone have any input?

No, you can't scare people while they're on rides like that, because we've always wanted to make the Boneville a zone for the train but can't happen.
11 years.
That actually seems like a really good idea. They would have to do what they did on the island, just put that fencing up so the guests dont go off the path and remove the metal part. It doesnt seem like it would be that hard to uninstall. I never would have thought about using that as a haunt. Good thinking!!!

I think removing the metal part would be too much of a hassle. I was thinking that it would be easier and safer to put down a rubber walkway over top, with a notch cut in the bottom of it for that metal rail. Kind of like the type of rubber mat that is often seen on playgrounds, but thicker and with a tapered edge to make it level with the ground.
