I could only hope for Pharoah's Secret to be the one to disappear. CarnEvil showed a huge improvement last year in its new location. I never made it into Undertaker last year but it wasn't terrible in the past, and I don't really see it being connected to land clearing taking place on the island. I've never really been a fan of Fear Faire because it's always seemed to be very empty inside and dull compared to the other zones.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Or Undertaker U, seeing as its right by the construction that is going on and just as old as Pharoah's Secret. Or Carnevil, to allow more scareactors to be placed in Terror Island.
That doesnt really make any sense seeing that the island is under construction. If anything were to disappear for construction purposes, it would be Terror Island since its right there on the island where the construction is taking place. I dont see Terror Island going anywhere in the near future since it was a HUGE success last season!

I don't know if I would say HUGE, rather it went over well with guests.
It was basically the main attraction throughout Halloweekends.

I'd say it was about 50% Cornstalkers, 30% Terror Island and 20% Club Blood. It could have been more had people been able to find Terror Island.
This is true! You see... Im a screamster on the island and I saw many people just walk right into Carnevil without even looking at the isle. But I thought we did really well seeing it was the first year for it!

It did as good as it could have with the lack of directional help. You would have had a lot more guests cross over to the island had they fixed that problem the 2nd weekend.
Yes. All I remember is walking out to the island and seeing the line all the way backed up to TTD's entrance including the boat house que line filled all the way as well.
Makes the adrenaline go up!!! :)

When we had a long line, we had tons of people because the crowds justkind of say "oh look, that must be something." I think we did needbetter signage/directions, and a better lit entrance area probablywould have helped. Many times in the dark and fog you couldn't evensee our entrance from the Carnevil entrance, which was where most ofour traffic came from.

Zeek I like your idea with the cannon, I even heard it scared people in fright zone last year.
That's right, we're so good we scare people who aren't even our zone. :)

Yes, the fog did play a rough role in Terror Island getting guests in, and I did try as hard as I could to get people to come in, and some of the barkers in CarnEvil aslo hyped up our zone as well. For the long lines that we had, some night I would take out another Screamster with me around 6 to help entertain, and on some nights we did a Pirate training show with the little kids to help them get over the fear of us to come in, if alloud I'd like to do it more this year. When the boathouse was full I did my best to keep everyone in there entertained and also had another Screamster out in the outside line to help entertain them. The biggest problem I faced was guests line jumping into the island, which I tried to stop as mch as possible but with such huge crowds it made it nearly impossible. If anything I'd like to see a more extended wait area so on busy nights we can have a space for more guests to file through without people getting cut in front of. Terror Island was the hardest zone I worked in(originally coming from CarnEvil) and I do see a lot of potential for the zone. I don't see the zone going anywhere anytime soon, on the sould fact that no other outfoor zone had a line, rivaling some of the biggest coasters, to wait for to get into the zone, seeing that it wasn't a maze nor was it a haunted house. And for those that were in the boathouse or in the line on the busy nights, if you have any ideas that would help me entertain you during the wait, ideas are welcomed. I am always looking for new ways to make it better for you guys, and do have a few ideas for this year that I hope will benefit you greatly.

Zeek, I always thought we needed a crows nest. Carnevil has barkers why not a crows nest. we could have someone up there. it would also be great I thought to see X's painted so people could find it better, kinda like X marks the spot. I also believe having more people out front might help but i dont know for sure, as you know i didnt work that zone but those are just some ideas. you did a great job this year though.

I can't wait to come back for Halloweekends. Working in Terror Island was a blast, although it was tiring after a few hours. Terror Island was huge success last season and with all the speculation going around already (it being March), then I can't wait to see what is coming up for Halloweekends 09.
Zeek and Yarbles both did a great job getting the crowd going before Terror Island opened. This aided in getting all the screamsters rawled up for a heck of night.
Terror Island does have a lot of potential, but with more screamsters and a few more canons, I believe it could be one the best Halloween attractions out of all the CF parks.

I would have loved a crows nest but it never happened. The idea I have for this year talked to with Ralph Wiggum and we both agree it would be a good concept, so if we can pull it off you will definatly notice it and appreciate it. Going out early did cause a lot of challenges for me by finding what would keep the guests there and what would keep the guests that decided to wait in the line for more then an hour for the zone to open busy, its tough, and I do try my best. I think what we can do this year will make waiting in line for Terror Isalnd even more enjoyable, because from my point of view and the other Screamsters, coming out seeing a huge mass of people waiting to see you, is a huge motivational boost and I really hope to see more and more people out there waiting to get in the zone.

Cannons are nice, but talent is what makes a zone amazing. We had some good talent last year, this year we just need to build on that. Zeek and Yarbles did great, and hopefully we will be able to create more memorable characters this season.

^Exactly. Hopefully we get A LOT more Screamsters this year and not to mention more that will be dedicated. Seemed as if last year many of them were gone for most of the weekends. We need to build on that as well!

yea it will be interesting to see, I believe well have a lot more this year than last but the only thing is will those people just be looking for a paycheck compared to doing it for the actual thrill who knows. I believe it could be one of the biggest years. I remember not to long ago cedar point had an open interview at breakers for summer jobs and they had a unbelievable amount of people come to the interviews. I wonder if well have that for screamsters?

you never know. like you said, the economy sucks right now so I'm pretty sure we will have "Screamsters" (if thats what you want to call them) just looking for a paycheck. and that absolutely sucks for us real Screamsters that are out there for the enjoyment because the people that are out there just for the money will be getting in our way and taking our spots!

I'd much rather have 75 hard working, dedicated Screamsters and have each zone be short staffed than to have 300 Screamsters who are only there to collect a paycheck and have no real interest in the job. With the economy I don't doubt that we'll recruit more people this year, I just worry about how many of them will fall into the second category. I do think we're going to have a great season this year though, and I can't wait for Sepember to get here.
