Nooooooooooooooooo I love Demon Drop!!!
"And let's also not forget--let's not forget, Dude--that keeping wildlife, an amphibious rodent, for uh, domestic, you know, within the city--that isn't legal either. "
How about some extreme simulated ride like Mission: Space (without the health hazard..lol)
I really miss the way it was when it opened as Disaster Transport. (That was the first time I went to an amusement park and Ive been hooked ever since) But I wish they would either return it to the way it was or give it a completly new theme. I dont want to see them tear it down.

Do I think they should tear it down? YES.
And re assemble at Michigan's Adventue. They could leave in open air or re theme it as an indoor.
The possibilities are endless with that ride.
Maybe WT & maXair were just the beginning of the park plan over there. :)

Inside or out, it will still endlessly suck. It sucked just as much outdoors as it does now.

Man, all that extra Dispatch Master Transport stuff sounds unbelievably awesome. Ever since I can remember paying attention to stuff in the park, I just thought that little sign was a quirky thing they slapped in there because an employee was bored one day. Anyone know when all that extra storyline stuff started fading? :(
That ROB dude sounds really cool. How did they keep it above the car? Wires above the track or something?
Oh and leave Demon Drop. There is nothing in the world like goin up as a single rider with some random family who just got in the park, giving the 321 countdown, and seeing their faces afterwards.

Get rid of it and while they're at it get rid of the Demon Drop. too!

101 on Magnum and counting...
I am one thoose who like this ride. For some reason I like bobsled coasters. It however needs an overhual and would not be worth the capital investment.
I would like to see them open it backk mup and move it to were the Wildcat/Theater is, with walksways under it. I would then like to see the whole MaxAir area trurn into a "Huss Land of Giants" scenerio.

(Note: Delerium in this senerio is not the same as a Giant Fresbee.)
I am also one of thoose who thinks Demon Drop should be relocated to another park, sice we have Power Tower. I would then like to see a woodie that spans were the end of DT is through the parking lot and around the Demon Drops site (not a Six Flags parking lot coaster. Remove the asphalt and plant grass, trees, ets.) I would like to see a woddie like "Robin Hood"
Everyone things that the huge DT building blocks the view of the lake... now what would happen if they tore it down and built a woodie? I think that would still block the view, not as much, but still.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I would be mad if they got rid of Demon Drop. Demon Drop is much scarier than Power Tower. The age of the ride and faded paint makes it look rickety and unsafe. It looks so primitive and the zero-g freefall is a totally different feeling than the negative gs on Power Tower.

Not for a kid or first time rider, Jeff.
I was a kid when I first rode it. I was 11. It sucked.

For you, maybe. For everyone who rides at that age? I doubt it.
You seem to want to speak for everyone. Others may have a different opinion.

I wouldn't mind if DT was replaced by another indoor coaster similar to The Exterminator at Kennywood. Or you could have an out and back mid-sized woodie. It could start were DT is now and maybe run into the parking lot. After the turn around it could run along the beach back to the station. I dont know if there is enough room for this, but its just a thaught.

I think that a lot of people will get mad at you for that parking lot ride comment ;)

CedarPoint likes wooden coasters?!
..And Robin Hood looks lame anyway.. Although being in Holland, I doubt anything "wood" be lame!
DT, like other attractions at CP, has lost some of it's magic over the years. If and when DP is ever removed, I certainly hope it's replaced with a similar coaster. And not in that location. I love the tallest/fastest/biggest/craziest thrill machines, but it's always nice to take a breather on an indoor ride.
Well GeeForce it doesnt neccessarily have to go Through the parking lot. Im sure they could maybe remove the cement at the vary edge of the parking lot and plant grass there. and have the roller coaster and the parking lot sepreated by a fence. I dont know if there would be enough space for that though.

May I ask what purpose removing Demon Drop would have? It has a miniature footprint, and alot of people like it.
Demon Drop is a fun ride that delivers a different sensation than Power Tower, but its ridership is extremely small. You still may have to wait 15 minutes for the rider even when the lines are short, but that's because the capacity is pretty poor.
I wonder if there is even enough space there now to replace it with a large flat ride. Without annexing part of the employee parking lot, I doubt it.
