yeah the Boat Show, Outdoorsman Show, the car show, and to top it off, the amusement park in march/april......thats how you take care of these off-season blues
quote from Mean Streak operator, "Welcome to Mean Streak. It's so mean it'll rip the heads off your Barbie dolls and steal your lunch money!!!"
I think we jumped from 14,000'. It was a great opportunity and I'd love to do it again. Too bad it costs so darn much.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I did a tandem jump about 5 years ago from 15,000 feet. Seriously the greatest experience ever, although not comparable at all to anything you'd find in an amusement park (regardless of what Skycoaster claims :)).
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
If you live in or near Cleveland and like to mountain bike or BMX here's the place for you....

Wow Rays looks amazing! I only wish that was around when I was in high school. I used to be real into mountain biking and spent a lot of time in various metro parks between Vermilion and Cleveland. I would have done anything for a place like Ray's in the winter time.
Yeah I posted a link to rays a few pages back. The place is amazing is a bike riders winter time dream. I can't wait to go back, the pump track, and the foam pit are two of my favorite area's.
Check out this link below, I think this video really shows some of the similarities of ripping a trail on a mountian bike and riding a coaster.

Let me know what you all think.

The best part is I'm almost trained to be able to lead climb and lead climb belay.

Cool video, and a heckuva fall. Made my palms sweat just watching it. I had forgotten how much I miss climbing sometimes.

Red River Gorge you say? That is one of my favorite spot to get away for a couple of days. There is lots of climbing, and hiking, and spelunking too!
Natural bridge state park is right there too, some good stuff there to check out also.
Well in last weeks newspaper ad's I seen a Castaway Bay ad. You could always go to Castaway Bay and not be able to ride one of them surf board rides.
I want to ride one of them.
Are you talking about a flow-rider? I ask because I got to use one on the cruise I went on during the summer.I also go to go Zip Lining. It was amazing!

Does anybody have any info about how old you have to be, how much it costs, and where in Ohio to go skydiving at? If you do PM me. I know I'm probably not old enough, but I just wanna see some info.

Snowmobiling. Imagine being on a roller coaster and going over a hill without knowing what happens after you crest the hill. Some give nice air time, some give big positive g's and others turn right after you crest the hills...all with no rails to guide you.
I get to go to Silver Dollar City in Branson,Missouri in about a month. Then it's Cedar Point all summer, yay!

Not much to do in Michigan during the off season. Just trying to lose the weight I gained over the past few months so I can manage to ride Wicked Twister and a few other ones.
Going to GameWorks in Auburn Hills is probably the most thrill I've encounted in the winter time.
Michigan has the hills up north.
Up north all you see people doing is skiing and snowmobiling.
US-131 North of Cadillac that's all it is.
I think there is just as much almost as much to do in Michigan during the winter as summer. You just have to dress appropriately for both.
At Kalahari this past weekend, I did the flow rider surf! My friend flopped off and got whooshed up to the top, but I stayed on the board and kept sliding over to the side up into the lifeguard's legs!! :) It was a rush, and a great place to go to in the offseason.
Sorry Joe, I missed that a couple pages back. Ray's isn't just for high school kids though. All ages are represented and actually there's more late 20's and early 30's there than anything. I'm 32 and have a great time. I stick to the technical sections and the pump track for the most part.
The cross country loop is a killer, if you want some good exercise. That one climb with the turn to the left to get up to the catwalk across the top is nearly impossible without getting off and walking the last two or three feet.

Mountain biking is a great sport for all ages, I am 27 myself, and see guys out in their 50's and 60's all the time. Rays has rental bikes too, if you don't have one or just happen to be in Cleveland for trip. I will be making another trip to Rays in about two weeks, I am pumped, and the pump track is my favorite for sure, it wears you out quick. Here is a little pumptrack race action
