For underground potable water lines, I fairly certain they use chlorine tablets. Then after the required amount of time, the lines are flushed out. Are you sure they use bleach?

I just hope they fill it with sand, otherwise it'll be louder than Rougarou.

I just hope they keep up the theming and don't let it fall into disrepair. Theming is a key part of this attraction and it would be a shame.

I really can't wait till this attraction opens. Is it going to be pay extra? Are you going to get completely soaked?

If it's still sound it may actually be good to keep it for a while, the more water the better. No point in keeping it just for looks though.

It's an old water tower.

It was my favorite ride in the park.

I really hope they make retro water tower T shirts, so I can remember the great times we had with it.

Until Sandusky replaces the mains into the park CP should keep ALL the reserve water storage capacity they can.

New in 2017: Demon Drop H20. They're adding a drop tower to the existing tower. That's why they haven't gotten rid of it.

They would need a huge reservoir to prevent evacuation in the case of a water main break.

The water tower purpose is to provide adequate water pressure to the park, not backup water supply.

I asked the question regarding the water tower at the CoasterMania Q&A. They said one of it's purposes is for emergency backup. That doesn't mean they could maintain status quo with it. If another break were to occur after the new tower is in operation, they would still possibly need to close the park, depending on where the break was an whether it could be isolated. The new tower was in the works prior to the main break 2 years ago. That indecent sped up the plans to install it.
