In an effort to lighten the debate here on something that the park had no control over, but can do what they please within the guidelines of the laws and this idiotic feeling of entitlement everyone has now........
If someone see's the Griswald's station wagon heading into the park, someone, please be kind and tell them not to bother.
I would, but I stayed away after getting home shortly before 2am this morning after a GREAT COASTERMANIA yesterday!
The break appears to be right at the parking lot edge. Lots of water, lots of trucks. The bigger question I have is for guests arriving tonight at the hotels. They're automatically refunding hotel guests for any stay last night or tonight.

The Facebook page is also making my head spin. The employee posted exactly what the CP page did, almost word for word, leave her alone. She's not getting into trouble and I commend her for not saying anything else to those people. Also...about the lawsuits. You can definitely try. We do apologize for the inconvenience though. Everyone in the park does.
People dumb enough to say they want to sue likely can't afford a lawyer.

So after reading about every news article I could find on this, it seems like they still are not sure how severe this break could be. I'm attending Coasting For Kids tomorrow. Hopefully we will hear something about whether or not the park will be open tomorrow for the event. I would hate to be in the same position these guests are in today.
Lawyers will take it on contingency I'm sure. I'm not the type to sue, I'm just saying some idiot will.
Lighthouse point campers at this point have not been told to leave. We received a 20% refund for last nights stay (which is more than fair IMO) and a refund for any nights going forward.
Those who are on our site also received a refund for unused tickets.
