Vertical Construction Has Begun!

That is disappointing, I always love the sound of a B&M.

Imagine having Raptor and GateKeeper both having the "noise." It would get old fast...

I could be wrong, but I don't believe they were filling tracks with sand back when Raptor and Mantis were built. In fact, the first time I can remember it being done was when Dorney was constructing Talon in 2001.

I am glad they are filling the track with sand, because i dont want to have to shout my voice while at the gate with my friends :)

In line for Raptor and mantis, we always have to shout because the track is so loud. We have to pause our conversation whenever the train zooms by over where we are standing.

Is the entire run of the coaster going to have sand or is it just the area around the gate?

Mostly the area around the front gate/ the turn around/ the lift hill area.

Will GateKeeper have those awful looking nets over the front gate?

Look at bottom of that image.

I dont believe so. There will be a roof over the gate, so they wont have them.

"What?"

"Your tickets!"

"What? My jackets?"

I would be disappointed if there were nets up over the front gate. Just about anywhere else isn't that bad, but they're definitely a very unattractive feature in what they're trying to make an attractive location.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

I see the large crane is now down and wondered if they will still need it or will they use the smaller cranes for what is left?

Looks to me like the large crane is currently being dismantled. The remaining track pieces can easily be handled by the smaller cranes currently onsite.

I was thinking of Kodak Moment Spots and it would seem you will have to get your hand stamped, leave the park and take pictures (of the keyholes) and come back in. Am I mistaken on this or not?

Yea, you'll have to get a hand stamp to go get pictures.

Why is it that when you see the storage tracks for coaster trains, beside the main track, typically one of them is shorter than the rest?

The one storage track can hold 2 trains, the other one train.

Along with that, Maverick and TTD's are the same length because there is an even number of trains.
