Vertical Construction Has Begun!

^ Are they actually expanding the season pass center? That's something I have been confused about lately.

Shawn: yes they are. It will make the whole process simpler.

Will the Season Pass center be open for families to buy season passes before the park opens?

Like maybe on the 16th while we are already there? I would love to process my pass at that time. We could help them test the new facility....

Technically, they season pass center doesn't open till April. Hopefully they'll have enough of the new entrance area done so they can have early pass processing. I'm willing to bet they'll have the pass center done and open before the rest of the buildings.

Jordan: yes, you can do so before entering the park.

Are they getting rid of the triangles? The ones on top of the restrooms?

First rollback on Dragster July 23 2003 since then 15

^ Hope so. Those just scream that 1960s bathroom fiberglass attic look! :)

I don't know about the triangles but I hope they do. I know the whole site is getting redone though.

I feel like those triangles would look fine if they had just a regular glass or smoked glass curtain wall instead of the translucent plastic. Better that than lose what are, as far as I can tell, functional skylights.

Some aerial photos of Cedar Point showing GateKeeper have been posted on Facebook.

Cedar Point looks so lonely during the winter. This is why I dream of Cedar Point so much during the off-season. This season I have been dreaming more because of Gatekeeper. If you add up the construction pictures and the discussions on here, it all adds up. :)

Well, your dreams are (among other things) influenced by what you are exposed to and how frequently you are exposed to them. So yea, it does all add up. :)

I have so many dreams about CP during the off season. Except the park layout is always totally different. Weird.

It was a beautiful sunrise this morning. I captured it off the webcam:

Thanks for sharing those sunrise photos. Beautiful.

So is the track already filled with sand?

Yes

Why would the track be filled with sand? There isn't a reason to have the noise reduced. Raptor isn't filled with sand and neither is Mantis.

They want reduced noise when the train passes over the gate.
