Better put some flood lights on that thing and get it done.

They have to make it. You do not leave stuff on a crane overnight. This is exactly why I did not expect them to build the dive loop in order.

They are picking that piece up. I cannot believe they are working this late just to install that last piece of track. That's Awesome though. Hey by the way since I'm commenting here, does anybody think they'll put lights on the key hole towers? I think that would be neat.
What I think is really cool that not many people are talking about is the fact that the trains themselves will have lights. That's at least was Annie had said in an interview.
I think once they ship the trains in and they are assembled then the discussion will heat up about it IMO. This is great to see also a good indicator that they are trying to get all the track work done on-time. Lets see if they meet the end of Feb deadline Monty talked about.#excited
Did you just hashtag a post....in a forum? lol
Any who, I'm at least counting on the griffon eyes to glow red. Anything more will be icing on the cake. :)

A couple weeks back somebody did a hash tag in one of the thread titles. What has this world come to :)

How do they determine what pieces they put up first, second, third... Etc.
It's my understanding that the Manufacturer determins the assembly order. That being said, assembly began at the break run and moved through the station and lift hill first so the station and electrical work could begin while the rest of the coaster is being built.

To let you all know, my friend is partnered with the main construction site manager. He knows the schedule, what lights are going to be incorporated in the keyholes and the main ride structure, and all the station info. To answer one of the questions: the keyholes will have spot lights shown on them from each side that will possibly change colors like millennium force. They also proposed the option of just having plain white lights shown on them.
I'd like to see them alternate between white and blue. Or specific patterns...
OOOOOOHHHH
I know it won't happen. but how awesome would a future upgrade with programmable led panels on the towers like the Glass City Skyway be?!

Obivously you'd need to go with higher resolution panels, as it's 1/4 the height of the bridge.... but yeah.

I would like them to illuminate the towers with white lights and then once luminosity starts switch to a multicolored light to go along with the show, and then go back to the white lights. The multicolored lights would keep with the theme as you leave the park with all the lights and music on the midway. The plain white lights will do a better job in showing off how massive and awesome the towers are, just how the white lights show off dragsters structure.
I just found out that track completion will be around the 1st or 2nd week in march depending on the weather. The trains are going to arrive at cedar points mechanical shop at the end of February. You should be seeing them soon!
I'm not one to watch a webcam all day, but I do love checking it first thing in the morning and seeing a lot of work was completed the day prior. I usually like checking later in the offseason, you can really start seeing big differences come late March into April. This project however is ramping up even sooner. There is work on all three buildings at the gate, the track is going up faster now and there is a lot of excavation/grading work being done on the lake side of the station. I can't wait to see what happens back there. C'mon May!
