They now have a Chick-Fil-A, Johnny Rockets, Panda Express, Starbucks,Ben & Jerry's and Tyson Chicken. When are they going to get some decent pizza? The stuff CP makes just sucks.

There's a Pizza Hut Express in Hotel Breakers.

In the big picture...some of the staff changes might be more meaningful than some of the capital improvements.

I'm far removed from the Point these days...but there are a couple of people on the list who received well-deserved promotions.

It is interesting to see the "rollercoaster" that is food services. It sure goes back and forth through the decades. And, not just at the Point...but all over. "We'll do it inhouse b/c we can do it just as well and make more money." "We better bring in outside vendors b/c we can't handle it and we are losing money."

It will be interesting to see when the tide shifts again.

Wel,, I guess CP can have a taste of New England. Then again, if I want Toft's, i'll just drive down Rt. 6 to the Source.

I would also think it's a given the aquatic stadium is a goner. I am surprised at how many of you d/n find much merit to TGIF. Granted, the one at The Breakers was never up to our local franchise standards. But I used to work at ours here in Canton & the food & cleanliness standards were very high. If it wasn't the freshest it could be, it was pitched. I like the new look alright, but I am not as thrilled with the new menu. They took off too many of the favorites.

Thanks for the great update.

Odd that the Aquatic Stadium won't be used, and a bit disappointing, but other than that it looks like this will be a great season. I also think the Raptor cameras will be a big money maker for the park.

Thrills Around the Corner!

^^ If I had to pick a chain to go to in Canton it would be Red Robin. I think they have better (and more healthy) choices than Fridays.

This is my first post in like 2 weeks. I'm BACK!! I'm looking forward to the new food options. I never really went into Trails End when it was there. My local mall here in Akron used to have a Panda Express at Chapel Hill Mall. So I'm looking forward to seeing one come to Cedar Point. I'm glad that Johnny Rockets will be around for another season. Hopefully whatever happens they let them keep the name at least. And Tambo, you cannot judge they're Pizza yet until the season starts. Maybe they'll surprise us all and have a different company making the Pizzas inside the park. Chuck Wagon looks Awesome too. I'll definately have to spend my money there. I wonder what they'll do with the Aquatic Stadium. Unless they have plans for a new ride there. That would be Awesome, but we'll see.

I'm noticing a lot of changes in accommodations management. While I'm not surprised Brian Peiffer got promoted to director, I'm wondering if Steve Mills finally retired or got the axe.

I'm lost on the videos. What exactly are they doing?

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

Scott,

I understand Steve is still at the Point...but no longer in Accommodations.

I wonder if we can finally be expecting some type of "Boardwalk" redesign. That stadium is on a nice piece of land there.

if they are not using the Stadium this yr; what do ya think will go on in a few yrs. I bet it will be Blowed Out and the Chaos will be moved, and a Bigger Thrill Ride will be made there.

"Blowed Out". Is that a spin-off of the show "Blowout" on Bravo?

Chief,

That would be great. I remember a while back people mentioning that somewhere on an in-park survey there was question asking people's opinions on it.

I've never been to Disney or Universal but the photos make those areas look like the place to be on the resorts at night after the parks are closed.

I'd love it if they ever had something like that at the point. TGI Fridays is a good time and all, but it'd be nice to have some other options. I'm sure they'd see a jump in revenue.

I could do without the smokers area :(

R.I.P. MrScott... You're greatly missed!!

Come on Tim, it's obvious what Mr Cedar Point was saying...

Stadium Blowed Out, Chaos Bigger Thrill Ride.

He thinks they're going to "blowed out" the stadium and turn Chaos in to a bigger thrill ride. That was a simple translation, sheesh.

We can't get over the infamous "finger found in the food" incident at Red Robin, so we don't go there. Sad really though, mistakes can happen anywhere. It's just a psycological thing, but the boys say no way when we consider going there.

I wonder if they took out Roller Bowler d/t too many people winning. My son did well on that game. And Chuck Wagon: pizza & salad? What does that have to do with the old west? But honestly I would love organic salads. There was def. too little healthy choices & lighter fare available at the park beyond an iceburg lettuce salad at Midway Market (uck).

This is the website for the on-ride video technology we're getting. I can't wait to see how it all works!

Wow, the video samples they have look pretty cool. I'm hoping the Raptor one doesn't have sound. I can only imagine how loud and annoying people would be if they were "playing up" for the camera like they do for the still photos.
