Wow great update, if that building is for a launch I have a new idea of CP might be using that building for possibly multiple launches in different directions?

wow did you guys notice the quality of the masonary work.... or LACK OF.. on my job that would be ripped down and redone... i've never seen such a crappy job of block work... well maybe the building on dragster to the right when you return... that looks pretty shi%%y too!!!! http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4840

Wow, awesome update! After looking at this support i think there's gonna be a lot of track going really close to other track pieces...

http://www.pointpixels.com/4images/details.php?image_id=7096, Looks like they might be getting rid of some of the old WWL footers. And does anybody know why cement is flattenned in the middle of these two supports? http://www.pointpixels.com/4images/details.php?image_id=7073.....hmmmmmm. ;) *** Edited 8/9/2006 3:34:18 AM UTC by Jerreus***

I agree completely. It really is poor and it also reminds me of the TTD building.

Yikes... Honestly, I probably wouldn't have even noticed had you not brought it up.

But, since you did... yikes.

It's not concrete, it's sand or the like. They dug that whole area up, and that's how they filled it back in.

I'm wondering if they are planning on continuing the current line of demolition work into the old WWL station where there's still a cement trough or if they plan on just building on top of it. The stuff they were ripping out today was very close to the station.

It was a great day to have my first and last CP trip of the year. I certainly wasn't expecting to see a cinder block wall being built on site. I definitely agree that it looks kind of janky.

Hopefully it's not intended to provide any type of structural support...except maybe for a roof. I hope they hire better guys to do the welding.

I see the algae in the pond is doing well also.

i dont know it most likely the camera position but is the building going around the support? http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4840

TommyTom, that's a PVC sewer/drainage pipe. It's hard to tell now if it will empty there, or it will be connected to another line.

milleniumforcerocks, no. It's on the other side of the building.

thats what i thought but at first glance i got over excited with the thought of flying through a building! oh well.

Wow seems like work on the ride has almost come to a halt. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like a few weeks ago supports were going up and things were happening. Now it seems there are 3-4 guys doing very little work. Even on the webcam I watched for a few minutues throughout the day and nothing was going on. Perhaps CP started project so early to save on construction costs (don't know how to do sarcastic smiley).

Also as for this support http://www.pointpixels.com/4images/details.php?image_id=7027 , does that mean track will be that low to the ground? It doesn't seem to make sense to stack another support onto a 2 foot footer...

Seems like the smaller jobs that most don't notice are being done. These can take awhile.

101 on Magnum and counting...

There, I would say yes. But, maybe not.

Example:
A few weeks ago it was just this support...

But, this is the same support as of today...

If you catch what I'm pointing out.

So, they put the support up. Should they have stayed there to make sure it doesn't fall? ;)

Brandon

CoasterNut06, You have to remember that this is only the second week of August. They started very early on this ride. While I agree with you, they have nine months to finish and test the ride.
