I just had an idea. Since there may be short trains, couldn't they have two trains on the track at the same time? Once the train launches from the mid-course launch, couldn't they launch one from the station? And, since its pretty obvious the next part of the track they install is going to go over (and possibly intertwine) with the lower track already installed, couldn't that be the "duelling" coaster we've heard so much about?? I love when Mean Streak gets its interval and there's a train coming down the hill when you're passing right next to it.
Yeah hall, that would be really cool to race another train but still go through both launches. Also, has anyone seen the funcam lately? It looks like there's a big a-support holding up a some track on the other side of a bundle of trees.
Yes, that would be the upward turn that will be heading over the pond. Look at the CP webcam, and you'll see it better. It looks like it has stopped at the point where it will connect to the footers that are currently in the pond.
I bet they're going to wait until after the park closes during the week to drain the pond. They filled it back in for the season for a reason. Once they drain it, that area looks nasty. So, they did their best to keep the park looking nice for the guests. They only have to wait until tomorrow, right??

A Lull
Correction. The Yellow one is a lull, the blue one is a Boom Lift.

The new cement next to the WWL station will be for the station/electrical building. I used my zoom lens to zoom in on the blueprints they had out yesterday. Thanks to the wind the pages kept blowing around. The station will connect to the old WWL station.
The crew is going to have to hit some major, critical, intervals. Why? So the train can launch from the station at the same time the train launches from the midcourse launch. Thus we will have some awesome flyby's during the ride.
Or they can eliminate that problem if there are 2 staging areas like on Dragster. :)

Has anyone seen that picture of the layout of the eniter ride from Maverick's Myspace. Its very in detail.
Not sure if it real or not but hey looks kinda cool
I am not going to post the link straight up but if you wanna see it send me a PM.
On Screamscape they posted a picture of artwork for Maverick. Normally I don't believe Screamscape, but this artwork looks authentic. What are your guys thoughts?

COMPLETE FAKE!!
I've never been to Cedar Point, but I hear it's nothing special.
Top 5 coasters: 1. Millenium Force 2.(tie) Dragster/Maverick 3. Shiekra 4. Alpengeist 5. Shivering Timbers
I think most of us are taking it seriously, and according to Walt, so is Cedar Point. I dont think they would get "serious" about a fake being posted, but that's just my 2c
Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point
It's interesting to look at, I'll give it that much.

2004 - Wicked Twister/Top Thrill Dragster
I could easily recreate that "concept art" in a few minutes using only a paint program. Therefore I have to say it's fake
